Can't start NWN

I'm running on Windows XP and i can't run the game. I've got everything installed but when i press play, it comes up with the Neverwinter Nights Eye Sign (The splash screen?) and then it just leaves the screen and the game doesn't start. I've also checked if it's running in the background and... nothing.

I've tried the NWN Main from the folder and that won't start it. I've heard the Override folder is suppose to be empty too. Plus i've heard about something called the "Critical Rebuild"? I've tried updating, i think it did it once but it won't update again.

Failing that, play Baldur's Gate instead. Was better anyway.

Pretty sure I have run that on XP before.. so maybe it was the install and something screwed up?

I get a similar thing with Vista - if I click on the NWN icon it stalls and doesn't load up. I have to run the .exe file from the CD to get it to work.

I had that same problem and resolved it by running NWN in administrator mode. Though this was running with Windows Vista not XP
