Even Capcoms reply is racist, they should have referred to thier development team as "African American" not black.
With re5 being developed in japan and most black japanese originating from south east asia calling them afro americans would be wrong on two accounts.

America =/= the world.
Afro Americans =/= the word's entire colored population.

I recall this kid, who immigrated from africa (or is it emigrated?)When in america and applying for financial aid for college, and it had the part that asked about 'race', he put down 'african american'. (same goes for the college he was applying to)
When he got to said college, and was greeted they stood tehre with mouth agape, because they were expecting to find a 'black' kid, not a 'white kid'.
So yea, those little 'check marks' are racist in and of them selves. Would it not be LESS racist if said forms didn't have any mention of race at all? And the only possible 'seperation' would be known languages? (Teachers trying to teach, or people trying to work with people who don't know english, in america can be a pain.)

That said.
Would a family of 'african-british' who have lived in England for 4 generations, and moved to england from holand, still be considered 'african-british'?
I think the reason that America has those types of labels on people is because (from my knowledge) America was built on immigrants. We got germans in Texas, Spainards in the south, Canadians in the north, british in the north east (i think) and plenty of others that i'm sure would give us dozens of "cultural labels" like "German-American" or "British American"

The point being, to my knowlege no other country has such a diverse culture around the world. If i moved to Britain would i consider myself an American-British? No, i'd either be an American or British.
The problem is you don't see "German-American" or "Russian-American" on those labels. You're either Asian, Hispanic, Latino, African American, Indian or White/Caucasian.

Of course, I still find it funny how the only minorities that seems to have trouble making it in America are Hispanic/Latino and African American, despite the fact that the modern role-model for young teens are black rappers or black athletes, and yet clearly whitey is racist and doesn't want minorities cluttering up their businesses and colleges.

Or maybe it's a problem with the culture that the minorities have adapted? Nah, can't be it, as that's just taking responsibility for yourself, and who wants that?

Oh what the hell? This game isn't racist? Well I'm no longer buying it anymore.

Just when I thought I'd get my white supremacy game -_-

Oh well, I can always kill Arabs in Army of Two.

Would have been a pretty epic post if not for that last sentence.

Anyway, I find it hard to believe that Capcom didn't expect any reaction from America: a huge market share.

I don't buy the complete ignorance argument but I am not standing against the game. The fact that it may be possible to cross this boundary might actually be a milestone for us. Here's hoping. :)

I don't understand why the game is being considered racist. The game is set in Africa. Wouldn't it be more racist to not include African people in the title?
