I think they're beginning to get better now, what with the new Scooby-Doo cartoon (It's actually good!) and moving some of the old shows into the lineup. But I'm angry because Batman: The Brave and the Bold is canceled. D: And they only show it once a week!

And I'm recording all the episodes of Samurai Jack when they come on Boomerang (They show an episode every night :D).

And Cartoon Network could use more Looney Tunes.

Why has nobody talked about The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy? I loved that show.
Now all I watch is Regular Show and Adventure Time.
And how did Mad get a show?

I swear to god, let me run CN's programming for ONE day, i guarantee i could bring in more revenue then they could in a month.

Animaniacs
Tiny Toon Adventures
Dexter's Lab
Powerpuff Girls
Samurai Jack
Reboot (Back when Toonami had this on every day)
Swat Kats

And i know Disney would never allow it but:
Ducktales
Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers
Talespin
Bonkers
Darkwing Duck
it funny you should say that because if my memory is correct, every other year or so, they hold a contest to allow 1 person to put what they wanted on cartoon network for a day. they never tell you who won, when the day was or what was going to be on but hey, its a whole day.

We're all pissed off at Cartoon Network's fall from grace, between their terrible reality shows and their equally terrible Total Drama Whatever and 6Teen crap. I think they kind of realized their mistake, though, they're getting better. They've taken away most of their reality shows and brought in Chowder (alas, it's gone now), The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time with Finn and Jake (my personal favorite), and now I hear Tartakovsky's got a new show. Anyone seen it yet? I think it's called Sym-Bionic Titan. Basically, they're not quite as good as they used to be, but they're getting there.
I've seen it. Its nice. It reminds me of Samurai Jack and Megas XLR combined into some weird love child. And its awesome.

OT: Yeah, they pretty much suck now, but are getting better. If only a little. What with Adventure Time and Sym-Bionic Titan. And releasing the Courage the Cowardly Dog DVD's.

Same with Adult Swim. Most shows suck and are usually just FOX cartoons, which are hit and miss. The only good shows are on way past midnight(except Robot Chicken). Especially Cowboy Bebop. Why the hell would you show that at 2AM?! However the new Venture Bros. and Metalocalypse shows there's still hope left. If only a little. And here's hoping for a new Boondock's season.

I hate the fact that they've never released Ed, Edd n Eddy on a DVD compatible with European DVD players.

I wonder if Xbox 360's are exempt from DVD region protection...I never understood the point of region protection anyway, other than to piss importers off.

I stopped watching Cartoon Network around the time Toonami died.

Ocassionally I'd flick over to something late at night, like Dexter's Lab, Power Puff Girls, Justice League, Teen titans etc. I started watching Ben 10 for a little bit and even Batman B&B, but I just avoid TV entirely now. Nickelodeon is dead and so is Disney Channel. Fucking kids of today.

Yea they canceled "Batman: Brave and the Bold"
And now all they have is a bunch of shitty reality shows.

FUCK YOU CARTOON NETWORK
It is not all bad. I mean they are cancelling it to start work on a more serious Batman series. I think that is great. I found Brave and Bold to be entertaining but I prefer my Batman cartoons to be more serious.

I dare you to name one good show still on Caritoon Network (well, I mean like premiering ones with NEW episodes so no Courage reruns, etc.)
Adventure Time with Finn and Jake is pure, undiluted awesomeness.

Not to mention they're a bunch of LIARS!
Just the other night I walked into the room and my brother was watching Spiderman 2 on CARTOON Network. Spiderman 2 is not a cartoon. Also when popeye used to air on it before moving to boomerang or whatever. the had a black and white popeye marathon, but one of them was in COLOUR. Damn you cartoon network.
its only called black and white popeye because it will show atleast one white guy and at least one black guy... thats pretty bad

End of the 90s was when I can literally not think of a single cartoon that sucked on CN. Even shows like courage the cowardly dog, which while interesting just didn't appeal to me, eventually grew on me and I began to appreciate them with time. Beginning of the 90s were also glory days in many ways too...but not as much as when the Cartoon cartoon initiative really took off - that one really made it into solid gold.

Nowadays there are still good toons that are made I think. But it's like the ratio has dropped to something like 1/3 good stuff, 2/3 cut-pasted CGI-driven crud. Then there are shows like Ben 10 whose beginning I actually liked and loved the characterization, but which eventually just grew into something I had far less interest in watching (Alien Force). One thing that does piss me off regardless though is the amount of fluff they've recently shoved inbetween cartoons. I liked the older 90s adverts a lot more, since you felt as if they were focused on promoting the toons during other times...nowadays it just feels way too corporate tbh.

So I wouldn't say CN is dead or such BS that keeps flying about all the time. Sure, things like Teen Drama piss me off but...meh. With news like Genndy Tartakovsky coming back with a brand new show and hopefully one or two other studios deciding to follow suit...I can see it becoming better soon enough.

Same with Nickelodian. How did stuff like Rugrats NOT survive? "oh don't worry, we have the fairly odd parents", FUUUUUCK YOOOOOU! I want my good cartoons back damn it!

dude rugrats survived for a long time, It got a new series called all grown up. (also I dont think fairly odd parents was bad considering that it spawned from ohhhhhhhhh yaaaaaaaa a show of animated shorts.)

Anyone remember CNX? Think it was called CNX, it later became Toonami. I remember watching Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star and Spawn every night. They also had random kung fu flicks and stuff most nights, Toonami was cool and all but I prefered the more adult CNX listings.
Anywho, I'm with everyone else in here: Cartoon Network is a shadow of it's former self.
