Case of the diappearing Follower: A Fallout New Vegas issue.

I'm having an issue with my copy of NV and I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue. Basically what happened was that while I was in one of the bunkers in Hidden Valley, it was the one with the NCR Ranger from the Still in the Dark quest, there was a sudden explosion that nearly killed me. Now comes the issue, I had a follower with me at the time, ED-E, and he was put unconscious, but the weird thing was that after the explosion he just disappeared. I know he didn't die because I'm not on hardcore mode and now I can't find him. I even checked the bottom level of Vault 22 and he wasn't there. I'm playing the PS3 version of the game and I've already checked the bunker where it happened.
So I ask, has anyone else had this problem? Any advice on places I might be able to find him?

I think this is one of those occasions on which you're not going to find him, you should consider reloading a save point, or giving up on him.

Can't reload it since PS3 can't run the auto saves too well and I turned them off. Dang it, I really loved ED-E too.

I've heard there is a bug that if a companion is snagged on something and you can't find him then he will stay there (and in your party) and you will never see him again. Not sure about that though.

You can always return to the town (forget the name, Nipton, novac?) with the Mojave Express and in the Nash residence to see if he has returned there as they usually do that after a certain period of time. I think it is 7 days but again I'm not sure.
