I feel like hammered shit and want to talk about movies and stuff. Except I'm not hammered. Maybe I should be. So you're gonna do just that. This is not negotiable. Except it is, but I would really like you to talk about movies and stuff, so if you could just do that, that'll be kinda nice.

So, ever read a novel and pictured exactly who you would like to play a certain character in an adaptation? This is what the thread is about.

So, I'd say Chris Barrie is perfect to play Don from Yahtzee's second novel "Jam". Chris Barrie's probably best known for playing Arnold Rimmer from Red Dwarf, so if you're familiar with that, you probably get why I'd pick him for the role.

I immediately cast Alan Rickman [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000614/] as Lord Gormon Peake while reading 'The Mystery Knight'.

I saw Rainn Wilson as Ferdinand Clegg from The Collector (even though wrong nationality)
Daniel Radcliff as Frankenstein seems obvious to me too.
Let's not forget George Clooney as Jay Gatsby from The Great Gastsby.

I am a massive David Gemmell fan and have spend many a quiet Sunday playing this game, but there is one character from his novels that I have never managed to put an actor too, Druss. I think I have it now, I want Jeff Bridges to give it a shot, only if he can do a Scottish accent though. Ever since I saw him in the iron man film its been in my head he could do a good Druss, honorable mention to Brendan Gleeson as well.

Foundation: Morgan Freeman as Hari Seldon, and in general a more diverse mix of ethnicities, genders etc. I refuse to believe that everyone will just be white in the far future. Same with Dune- the books are steeped in Arabic culture and language, yet most adaptations feature all-white casts.

Are you kidding? Morgan Freeman should be Gandalf. Which would be esp. funny when he becomes Gandalf the white.

Morgan Freeman would be an excellent Hari Seldon. And I suggest Judi Dench as an aged Susan Calvin.

Why stop there? The entire cast should be acted by Morgan Freeman. Would make the most interesting fictional setting ever.

Well hey now, let's not get carried away. Besides I was thinking we could have Patrick Stewart as Theoden and William Shatner as Saruman.

[HEADING=3]The Bellmaker![/HEADING]
-Ian McShane as Urgan Nagru (for the lovely voice)
-Cate Blanchett as Silvamord (ditto)
-Laura Bailey as Mariel Gullwhacker (she could play everyone as far as I'm concerned)
-Yuri Lowenthal as Dandin (just like Yosuke...)
-Ian McKellan as Joseph the Bellmaker (seems like he could do a bellmaker)
