Is the game worth actually playing, considering the gameplay itself is supposed to be pretty bad, couldn't I just watch the story on youtube without missing out on much? Or is there something I'm missing...

Well first off, since the Story has that whole morality thing going on it means you are going to get different stories. Second of all, the main complaint I heard about that gameplay was that is was too hard. However, I know that they patched that out in the Japanese version of the game and probably did the same thing for the American version. I am sure they made a few other tweaks as well. Since the demo is dropping in a week, why don't you try it out then. It's free. So if you don't like it, don't get it. If you do like it, get it. Or rent it, since it's like 20 hours long.
