I've never played any of the Digimon games except Digimon Battle (The MMO) for awhile ('Till I got bored and could afford a copy of Pokemon SouSilver) and Digimon World 4 at a friends house (Was I Agumon or Guimon? I don't remember). But, I loved the anime. The first three series specifically (Didn't care for Frontier, only made halfway through Savers/Data Squad, and only watched a couple episodes of Xros Wars). Too bad this most likely won't have a U.S. release.

Anyway, are any of the Digimon games reletively good? When I was younger I wanted play them because, "It was Digimon", but once I got older I wasn't sure if they were good enough to bother with...
They were odd, with a few hitches here and there but what they did perfectly is capture the feeling of playing the anime. They had a myriad little things that just fleshed out the games in a way pokemon never did (even though pokemon games were way better overall...I mean the main rpgs, not all the other sucky spinoffs like mystery dungeon and whatnot) so even though as a game it wasn't perfect, if you were really into the anime it was pretty much heavenly.

This game seems to recapture some of that and has my wallet caught by the nostalgia-sack :D.

Oh and I'm talking about digimon world 1 and 2 and the rumble arena game (super smash brothers with digimon basically) as I've not played any of the newer ones. I heard the DS ones were pretty decent too though.

I kinda like some of the Pokemon spin-offs (Mystery Dungeon has a pretty good storyline, and I find Ranger's gameplay kinda addicting). I heard the DS ones got decent reviews, just nothing special. Too bad even if this one's good, it's chances of getting localized are slim to none...

I couldn't finish the first mystery dungeon, the gameplay was just horrible and the story was dull. I got into it expecting a real pokemon game action rpg, what I got was a dumbed down game made for 7-yearodls. (I'm the type of pokemon player who EV trains and breeds his stuff to get the best stats, I only really like them for the depth)

I don't know if they'll bring it over or not, though they did bring most other games, either way, I'm just gonna import it from Japan if it doesn't come, it's good that psp is region free.

I'm interested in the game sipmly because the character designer for the humans looks like to be Suzuhito Yasuda, and I love his art.

Well, I didn't find the story dull, but I didn't like the gameplay either. I was expecting an action-RPG as well and was unaware of the concept of Roguelikes at the time. I never finished it either, the second was easier, but it was too easy so I got bored. I EV train and breed and stuff too, but I find a lot to enjoy about the series outside of that as well.

Yeah, I guess this game can just be imported, but I don't know Japanese (Nor do I know if this would be worth the import price).

Playasia charges like 3 bucks for shipping on the cheapest plan and you won't be seeing more than $15 of a price difference, I think it's worth it.
