I know I'm going to sound like "Mr. Negativity", like always (you can start calling me Marvin), but... This... Strikes me as a sad attempt to "be cool". Like when 40 year old dads who listen to Abba start using slang word they don't know, and that haven't been used for at least 10 years, in order to look "hip" and "in".

Well, MMOs are bad, EvE specially. Rap, generally, is bad. Maybe if they had done something like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBCrsaet-2Q] that's actually a good satire of mainstream rap/hip hop... But they didn't. Just didn't think it was particularly funny, they seemed like they were trying too hard to be cool, in a very awkward and uncomfortable way.

As for your comment of my comment... I appreciate music as a form of art. Rap -CAN- (although 99% of the time it isn't) be a form of art, but... Music? Maybe I'm "old fashioned" but I do think my music should have some, well, you know, music in it. Good rap can have very nice lyrics, very clever, significant and even well written lyrics, but the actual MUSIC is missing. Calling stuff like 50 cents or Kanye West "music" to me is akin to calling Avril Lavigne a singer... It's just not right.

Heheh, this wasn't even due to the PR department. Started off with one guy writing lyrics and getting a bunch of other people at CCP involved. Sort of cascaded from there and ended up being shown at CCP's fanfest.

Haha, awesome. I just found out about CCP's Atlanta office yesterday, which was surprising and helpful given that I'm in Atlanta and looking for a job; still need to see if they're hiring programmers right now, though.

This is a seriously good time to approach them. They've been expanding since launch, but they are looking for around 100 people right now.

Truly epic. I've never even tried EVE and CCP still somehow manages to be one of my favourite developers of all time.

I never really got started on Eve; any advice if I where to go back onto a trial account?

Yeah, make sure you got $15 in your bank account, cuz you will want to go full in no time. Or you don't. But you will remember the experience. Just go to Eve Online's webpage, they have a piclink for trial accounts.
I like the song and it's message. I've been one to want to play pvp in WoW, but the friends I make are all in PvE servers, and if I speak up about pvp then it's all about the gankers. You gots to have the bad with the good, and there is only so much PvE content before it just rinses and repeats. I miss the battles between Southshore and Tarren Mill.
