Hello everyone,

Was playing ME 2 today when i heard something stranger while standing next to joker. He said along the lines "Cerberus huh? Three headed dog but the Illusive man runs it all?" Which made me think "Is the illusive man the only "boss" for Cerberus or are there others?" Just wondering what everyone else thought about it and there opinion about it.

I raised this issue before at the Bioware forums.

Making Cerberus parallel the Greek myth in some way (captured by Hercules, the story of Orpheus) opens up some rather immense avenues for creative, emotive, engaging writing.
I'm more of the opinion they just picked it because it was a cool sounding name though.

There are supposed to be 3 sections of Cerberus. I can't remember what all 3 are right now but Miranda and Jacob are only part of one section. It was my understanding that the Illusive Man is the head of only that section and not all three but I could be wrong.

Edit: According to Mass Effect wiki, the Illusive Man does indeed run all three. The three sections are referred to as cells and they are political, military and scientific.
