I'm bored , so i came up with this idea, let's name every good game that came out this gen( i know 'good' is subjective , but let's try anyways ).

So here are the rules :

1)Post 3 games from this current generation ( wii ,xbox 360 and ps3 only , no pc or handhelds plz )

2) Don't ( or try not to ) name the same game that another poster has named

3) The game must have already been released ( so no you can't say skyrim )

4) Avoid quoting another poster to say 'game x' sucks

5) Pick one game ( out of the three you chose ) and give a quick reason it'S good.

Here i'll start.

a)Catherine
b)Dragon age Origins
c)Saints row2

Saint's row 2 is one of the most fun/wacky sand box games, i've ever had the priviledge of playing, you could do almost anything imaginable in that game, sandbox at it's best.

Oh this is gonna get flamey. There's so many games that people think are Jesus in video game form that just as many think are absolute shit

Sadly I can't even comment because all the games I've played in recent years that I would call good have been on handhelds or PS2. Though, gun to my head?

Bayonetta
Cross Edge
Trinity Universe

I'm sure there's other/better games but they're in genres that don't really appeal to me, thus I haven't played them.

This generation at it's worst if you ask me, it's the only game I refuse to play.

Fallout New Vegas
Fallout 3
Oblivion

Yeah, I've got them out of the way. Say what you want about the bugs, once you're past them the games give one hell of an experience. The sheer number of hours one can sink into each game puts them on this list alone.

Portal
Hitman Blood Money
Deus Ex Human Revolution

EDIT: Portal has excellent puzzles, and is just hilarious. Blood Money is the best stealth game I've played since Hitman 2. Human Revolution addresses fascinating issues while still having excellent stealth-action-RPG gameplay.

Infamous
Gears of War
Fable

I found that Infamous just really worked as a game. There was nothing terribly spectacular about any element of it but as a whole it worked as a nice flawless experience. I was quite surprised when I played it, as I wasn't expecting much but I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Deadly premonition
LA Noire
GTA 4

Deadly Premonition not only fully realized and created a proper B movie game but also perfected it.

...I hate you /joke

I'm going to be rebellious and say Persona 3 and 4. Because I can. ^-^

1.Red Dead Redemption
2.Brutal Legend
3.Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm: It's reminiscent of classic shooters like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom. It has plenty of dick jokes and violence to get me through any day.

2.) Creed 2/Brotherhood (Can't decide but its one or the other)

As for myself:

Mass Effect 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Batman: Arkham Asylum

Mass Effect 2 had a great story with interesting characters especially with option to carry over a Mass Effect 1 save, varied combat due to squad powers and six playable classes, and it was regularly supplemented with additional DLC to enhance and expand the experience.

Dead Space
Dead Space 2
Fear 3

Fear 3 had some of the finest shooter mechanics I've ever seen, and while the actual horror may have been a bit dry, and the game too short, it was a fantastic action game.

Most of my first choices have been picked, so I'll say:
Assassins Creed 1
Dragon Age 2
God of War III

I love games with fun and fluid combat.
