If you can change one rule about the earth, what would it be?
It can be any; scientific, spiritual, or government rules.
It can be to turn off gravity, or to legalize punching stupid kids.
or people can eat as much as they want and not get fat,

But it?s difficult isn?t it? It?s not something you can say on a whim.

What would it be? :D

Every human being can have a brain-computer interface, so that you just need to think something & the computer will execute a command. It's a tie between that and getting rid of telephone lines...those things are ugly as hell.

I would make everyone more tolerant of differences in opinion. That's a step in the right direction.

Everybody gets a healing factor about as powerful as Wolverine's. (ergo, nobody dies or gets sick anymore)

I mean, there's a bunch of things I might like to do with a little bit of omnipotence, but it'd be downright evil to waste this kind of power on (say) making Gundams just as practical from an engineering standpoint as current-gen battle tanks.

I would give myself wings.
So I could fly and shit.

I can't really think of anything that would help EVERYONE. So I went for the completely selfish option.

I'd simply get rid of stupidity. It would solve so many problems.

I'd go with "From this day forward, all you jackasses will be NICE to one another, 'k?"

Haha.

If only.

It would either be people can understand (show empathy) to each other more or no more hate as in removing the feeling (emotion) of hate.

eliminate humanity.

Its the only way to eliminate stupidity, because the number of stupid people is approaching critical mass with this new generation.

ok not on a genocidal slant. eliminate google, because too many people rely on it as the source of their information, and demand others learn from it, as opposed to actually learning something.

People no longer need to eat to survive or worry about healthy eating. Food becomes nothing more than a luxury and masses of farmland can be turned back to forests. Nobody starves again and the enviroment benefits. great.

OT: I say eliminate lack of tolerance/censorship. People cannot take a joke or handle a little violence nowadays to the point where its become "unaccepatble" to do something as simple as allowing the ORIGINAL loony toons on Television.

Honestly.. I preferred the NO! image.

I stand by what I said. I will continue to do so until I stop seeing people responding for any request for help with "look it up on google" knowing full well that any meta engine is superior to google. And the notion of suggesting people to look up information from the internet as being a reliable source for ANYTHING is actually worse than telling someone "just guess" because guessing would have a slightly higher probability of being accurate.

EDIT: OT: Failing that... I would put a stop to all these intolerant and ignorant attacks on religion or any topic the internet deems as acceptable to hate on. I am compelled to add this.

Hm, maybe I'd change the capability of human beings to commit evil and harmful acts to one another. Either that or the lack of money in my bank account.

... Probably the money thing, I really want Mess Effect 3.

Change the perception that we work for the government.

Government works for us. We have traded some of our natural freedoms for protection. Not to be enslaved.

And we would pick up a book in library, read a reference to another book, cross check information.

We would only waste more time reading indexes. Nothing else.

I like that answer. You have to be asking something very specific to request help on something.

One thing is technical support, asking opinions about certain tactics in games, what song was on the 49th minute of Top Gear, etc.

Another is asking "How do I turn my calculator on, lol?" without even reading the manual, let alone googling.

That people would be empathetic and reasonable. That said...

So, you're advising that people seek out random hearsay as fact, and ignore things like collected data, collaborative results, and recurrent observations of truth? You would have them merely guess that their answer is correct, perpetuating falsehoods as truth when they have the option of learning for themselves? If the largest free collection of historical, scientific, linguistic, and philosophic knowledge from across the world is not to be consulted when a question arises, where then do you advise someone turn when they have a query?
