New law: You're not allowed to write an editorial, attend a protest, or make a contentious statement unless you actually know how the situation works. Parroting what you've read on the Internet as the gospel truth (OBAMA IS A MARTIAN SPACE ALIEN FROM JUPITER HERE TO CONVERT THE COUNTRY TO LESBIANISM) will be punishable by boots to the head.

I would force my producer to actually pay our overtime! Then, with the extra money, we would buy, oh I don't know.... something stupid, doesn't matter, take pictures, and keep them all to ourselves. That way, we'll have out little private club nobody knows about, and as you can see, it will solve absolutely nothing.

So yeah, I guess I will stick with coping with everything with a positive attitude instead. Yeah.

Nope nothing. I like it just the way it is.

Or maybe we could have people kill those that are a hindrance to the human race. Like the commissars that kill cowardly IGs in Warhammer 40k

There's so much wrong with the US legal system, but I guess if I had to choose one thing it would be the dominance of the legal system by political parties.

I would let gay marriage happen, because I'm very tired right now and can't be creative
This and an opportunity for every good person in the world to do what makes them happy.

EDIT: also getting a good girlfriend would be nice

I have noticed a lot of people complain. I suppose this is just part of life. People complain and I must suffer through it. I consider myself a patient person. However, I can not stand people who ramble on about an issue yet offer no solution.

I am interested to know about your forum, community, city, or country. One of the best ways to learn about other cultures is to be able to relate with certain aspects of that culture. Every person and place has some sort of problem.

What would you change if you could? What law would you create, amend, or abolish? What is the source of turmoil where you exist? Sometimes, it is good to vent, but I am looking for something that resembles a constructive response. Anything come to mind?
Good thread(in my opinion at least); maybe it would have been better placed in the "Religious and Politics" section.

In my not so great post-communist country Romania(God, I'm such an attention whore for always saying this line!) the best thing that could turn out false 20 year old democracy into a real one, would be a mass plague among the politicians.

It's not that I hate them, it's just that they're the exact same guys(give or take) that were ruling form the shadows from before the 1989 revolution. Well there was this fanatical ruler how put all of them in place, and did some economical and political advances for the country at human costs but he was executed and his reign ceased.

The problem is that all the current political and economical leaders at the moment have fully lived the commi years. Their old mentality mixed in with a fucked up democratic and capitalistic one, created only shelf-interested leaders.
The nation is fairly stupid and has no real idea of what a democratic state should be like, and all because this was only a ferry tale during their childhood.

The thing my country need is a breath of fresh air, a new generation that knows the true meaning of moral and politic values. The old generation(well most of it) understood human rights as:"We can do what ever the fuck we want"
"We can steal because the commis wanted us to respect the rules"
"We can get into international debt, because the commis wanted us not to have any, and they were 100% evil so they're wrong about international debt being something bad"
"We shouldn't worry about earning a living because it's the state's responsibility to oofer us jobs and financial security, just like they do abroad"
"We should import all our culture and dismiss any of our own's, because the commis said that we have good cultural values and they were worng!"
Et cetera.

The main problem is that the new generations thinks it's ok to be immoral like these guys(I'm not saying that all of them have been immoral, but since the revolution most people had a 180 degree change in all their aspects upon life, either good or bad).

I think I overdid it again, and when off track...

The only way to save this country would be only by investing in education. Laws that would benefit the students and teachers. I don't see any other way out of our hell whole considering we sold out our electrical companies, our banks and firms, our resources, and any little that we had just to make more money for the state budget(do you know what we did with that money? the politics spent it on roads that didn't last, on new salaries for them, on poor health care, and on other stuff; then they said, ops no more money to fix things: solution sell+international loans, rinse and repeat)

I get a credit card that noone can look at what I buy, and I never get bills, payed for by terrorists and/or organised crime rings.

"I must buy this Bacon Burger!! For FREEDOM!!"

And also, I REALLY want to stab someone. I just, am so tempted. I stabbed my self in the leg with a fork the other day, and it fucking hurt. I suppose I should go help Furburt then, justification and all.

Change things for the better? Ha....

Well, I guess there are a few things I would do....
1. Get rid of having 60+ aged people in positions of power this year who show a lack of understanding in todays technological world.

I am sorry, but it just seems that older generations are approaching new problems with old methods. I like the way the government is set up and all, but it just seems there are tons of older folks who just want things to "Stay the good old ways". Well, sorry, but times change, and if you can't be bothered to learn how the world is changing, I can't be bothered to have you in charge. Hows that for change?

2. Remove unnecessary security measures.

This is a little tricky, but I'm pretty sure Americans are familiar with the TSA...It just seems like the security is overdone, and absolutely pointless. You are more along the lines of going after 10 million people, with a very good chance you will miss the one who is buying a 1 way ticket with cash with no carry on luggage. I think metal detectors are a good way to go. And keeping knives and such off your person when you travel is big too. Heck, if an item looks suspicious, have experts in place to examine it.

3. Make profit a small reward for doing well.

These days, it seems that companies are more interested in making a profit more than doing anything else. ANYTHING. Even customers are starting to take a back seat. I propose that if you make profits that put you in a position in which you could buy off cities, you either need to be A. Making bigger, better products, or B. Be giving bonuses throughout the company, not your top tier officials all the time. Think of it as....a reward for being part of a company and helping it grow.

This is definitely way too rantish for my liking. But you put up the topic of changing how things are done, and these are my thoughts on it.
