From the same guys that did Recettear: An item shop's tale.

It's cheap, it's on steam, and it's bloody good =D

These guys do translation properly, there's no AYB stuff in here, proper humour and enough story to keep you entertained for some time.

^_^

Yes, the name is a portmanteau of Chante and Elise. Just like Recettear ;)

I poickerd it up a few days ago, it's good fun though I don't think it's as good as Recettear.
Yeah the actual game was made before Recettear, it's a nice little dungeon crawler though.

I've been playing the demo of this, and I'm actually finding a fun challenge (probably due to lack of a proper control scheme, but I'll fiddle later). I've only made it to the fourth room in the first dungeon, with the skeletons. I'm looking forward to getting the full version soon.

As soon as I saw the news on steam at 29/7/2011 I bought, download it , and clicked the favorite button. Also I like to add that I'm enjoying every Seconds of Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters. Thank you Easy Game Developer for making this masterpiece. Now I going to continue playing Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters with my trusty controller Logitech xbox360.

The game is, with no doubt, intended to be played with a gamepad. I got away without a gamepad in Recettear, but you definitely need one for Chantelise. That doesn't make the game any less enjoyable or charming though. It's definitely worth the humble asking price.

I'm currently having massive screen tearing issues with that game...trying to fix that.

But aside from that, it's pretty fun. The art style reminds me a lot of Ragnarok Online. And I love that art style.

Bought it, played it, it's really fun. Nice, challenging action rpg. Most of the bosses require at least one practice run to figure out how to do damage, but beating the boss only counts in story mode. So you will inevitably run through areas multiple times to reach boss chambers, which is kinda annoying.

There is one odd translation thing I discovered though. In the sound test, there's a track called "I Don't Nelieve it!" I assume they just typoed, but maybe there's a reason for the "n"?

I bought it and am having fun playing with it on and off. I was actually surprised by how different the game felt compared to Recettear's adventuring mode. There are similarities of course but it definitely feels faster paced and the level design is significantly better.
