I don't care much about altering facial attributes, but I have to make a fancy beard with a (somewhat) matching mustache.

I just randomize a face until I'm satisfied and then customize hair and 'stache.
I do pretty much the same thing. I can't be bothered to figure out exactly why a slider labelled "Jaw" is affecting my character's eyebrows, so I just mash the Random button until my character stops looking like he has a genetic disorder.

I'm all good with intricate character creation, as long as it has a point.

One thing that struck me was creating a "pro" in FIFA 09. I could customise eye colour, nose size, nostril size, eye size, eyebrow shape, jaw line. I could go on, but that fact is, it's a FUCKING football game, when am I ever going to see this guys face, other than for 5-10 seconds when he scores, gets booked or takes a freekick?

I love them, i usually make either the nastiest ass ugly dudes or the hottest chicks. In Mass Effect I made an almost damn near perfect replica of Daniel Craig, it was the shit.

I love games with tons of character customization. Not only able to change their facial features/body but their clothing, weapons, personality, everything. However I HATE sliders. I've got a bit of a permanent twitch going and my hands are just too shaky for fine tuning a slider with tones of options that require the smallest of movements.

I love being able to create a character. That way you can constantly mix things up rather than get bored by the same dull characters.

If there is a character creation I try to make my character look like Bruce Campbell. All of my attempts have bared no success though. Its the chin slider, you just can't make it big enough. Although I get pretty close in Mass Effect.

The only time I didn't try that was in Saints Row 2 where I picked the voice first (Latino Male) then made my character. Oddly enough, he turned out looking exactly like the voice actor.

I don't own any Sims games, so when I do occasionally make a person/family at a friends house, a couple of things always happen. They always ended up looking like the eighth generation of inbreds, and if its a family, about half of them die/ get taken into care.

I don't like them in Oblivion, but thats mostly because every tweak manages to make vanilla races even uglier.
What is it with Bethesda and hideous head shapes?
