I love games which give me extensive tools for character creation, such as Saints Row 2. The more options the better really.
Character creation is possible one of the best things video game developers have ever made. Except for good games, of course. A good game with in-depth character customization, right down to the size of your ears, is one of the greatest things ever. Except when I spend more time creating the character than actually playing the game... Oblivion, anyone?

Game like oblivion has ugly character and generation tools,no matter what you do its gonna be ugly, unless you use mods. But many of these mods.. ugh, a bit too "porn-flavored" to be taken seriously.

No i am totally with you on that one. Makes the game more personal, and it makes me fell Special!!!! *claps. But, to me it really does make it, when you get to create your own character. Sometimes when i play a game and think "surely this has a char customisation" and then it doesnt its like,,, waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh?!?!?!?! But yeah i love playing with those things, the best one has to be on the Wrestling games, Smackdown Vs RAW and stuff... you can just do anything! 
I love to, as long as it loads fast and is fairly open to custimization. I hate picking one of three hairstyles or something lame like that.
