Probably my WoW characters.
Although my main 10 are all precious, my warrior was created in classic. In fact, he was the first character I ever created.

Of course, he's rather precious to me.

ahhh... Ghost... i'm not sure why... but most is 'Delta' from Bioshock 2, the one time i finished it, i had taken a relatively good path, and unlike most game endings/films a tear actually left my eye... seeing all those little faces, and my reflection before the cutscene ended

Protagonists: Tommy Vercetti, Ezio Auditore, John Marston and Kyle Katarn. Especially Kyle Katarn!

Other Characters: every Dragon Age: Origins companion (especially Morrigan and Alistair), every Baldur's gate 1 and 2 companion, Garrus, Tali and Wrex.

Out of the hundreds of games I've played the only character I'd go to the local pub and grab a beer with is John Marston from Red Dead Redemption. He's just seemed like a 'good guy'.

Niko Bellic. I feel for the guy, they really made him a tragic and very unique figure in the world of video games.

Well, probably John Marston. I've played dozens of characters with dark secrets to hide, but this is the first game that I feel that has really stretched it out. He really does feel like a man who is doing what he does because he must. A more sympathetic James Howlett if you know what I mean.XD

Other characters are also Alyx Vance, who puts a human face in an Orwellian picture. Not to mention she's one of the most realistic characters I've ever seen.

Moving on, pretty much ALL of Beyond Good and Evil. I love Jade, but Peyj, Double H, everyone, down to the Rastafarian Rhinos that sell you upgrades. They're all well characterized.

Your gang lieutenants in Saints Row 2. Gat, Shawdy, Carlos, Pierce, all of them.

Damn, I'm going to replay these games now.

Morrigan from Dragon Age: Origins - she snatched my heart completely by surprise.

Megatron. He's ambitious, creative, and really, really wants to save his planet. You could argue he's doing it wrong, but he's got drive. Literally.
I see what you did there.

I would like to say I get attached to every person in the games that I play but I gotta go with the master chief. Say what you want about the guy but he dealt with a lot of crap and never complained. I realise some people may disagree with my opinion and those with differing opinions do please feel free to keep those opinions to yourselves :)
Exactly why I love him--he doesn't complain and he gets the job done not to mention his voice is just...I believe even God is envious of that voice

okay then another character I felt attached to was probably Gaz from the first Modern Warfare. I was actually screaming "Why lord why?!!!" at that ending.

Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII)

I find his personality to be a lot like mine; Quiet, Un-official leader of the group who hides his emotions behind crossed arms and a blank face.

This "link" to Squall I have has made this my favourite game of all time.

Your partner from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Doesn't matter what Pokemon it is, when [a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRloVlUsn-g]that music[/a] starts playing and they're standing on that cliff sad, broken down, and on the floor crying for you to come back...it makes me wish I could enter my video games so I could give them the biggest hug of the century and tell them it's alright.
