Sometimes in games interesting characters seem to not appear often enough or get killed off way too early. So I ask you: Which characters didn't get their time in the spotlight?

I would say The Jackal from Far Cry 2 (He was a good villain who was barely in the game at all) and 'Dad' from Fallout 3 who dies only minutes after you reunite with him.

The King/Emperor/Whoever Patrick Stewart played in Oblivion. The only decent voice actor get stabbed in the back as your dumb-ass just stands there and watches.

Carmen in Gears of war. Oh how i loved him......
You spelt his name wrong.

Hm. I would have liked Captain Anderson to play a slightly bigger part in Mass Effect, although since I
chose him as Humanity's reprisentative on the council
at the end, I guess he'll get to be in Mass Effect 2 a lot more.

That's another one. The story kind of requires his death but it's Patrick motherfucking Stewart! They couldn't let him live just a bit longer?

The final boss in Fable 2 (Lucien I think), he died before I could have a good showdown with him.

Ugh, I agree. I finally reunited with Liam Neeson's awesome voice, and what do I get? Not even a hug, or a high-five for risking my life to find him. No, I get to jog back to Rivet City with him, enjoy some dialog surrounding a machine that he loves even more than his own daughter, and then watch him die.

For me, it didn't really give the rest of the game enough purpose.

I gotta say Carmine in Gears of War 1,2 because he was oddly the most human. That is strange given you never see his face but he is honestly the most loveable and relatable character for me at least in Gears of War. Nervous, enthusiastic, eager and inexperianced.... sometimes I wonder why he couldn't have been the lead. Sometimes I wonder why we don't see more characters like this as the leads.

p.s I would have mentioned the Arbiter from Halo 3 but I think I've been mentioning him enough lately.

The first goomba in level 1-1 in Mario. That poor bugger lasts only seconds into the game.
*Sniff* Steven shall be remembered as the bravest of the Goombas, rest in peace.

For what it's worth, his performance in Fallout 3 was pretty bland, so it's not that big a deal. And no, he doesn't love it more than his own daughter. After all, he did abandon the project to keep you safe.

Also, I'm inclined to agree with those saying that Emperor Patrick Stewart should have lasted longer than twenty minutes, as he's the only character in Oblivion I could even tolerate, let alone like.

I wish they had more missions with mr. burke

very interesting character.

Little Britain's voice in LBP. I mean he only did tutorials, and he is one of my favorite voices.
