Tai fron Gears 2. He's only in the game for an hour, maybe more before disappearing and then he goes and offs himself. I was very disappointed.

I didn't use her much in my team anyway, since I already new she'd go tits up at some point. I stumbled into that trap many times. And I personally it's horrible storywriting when the thing that bothers you most when someone on your side dies, is that you have to put someone you never use on the team instead (who's usually autoleveled with bullcrap stats and skills).

The Dad from Fallout 3 also died way to quickly. Never had time to grow attachment to Liam Neeson. It was most definitely a shame.
Most characters in WET. Most are killed the same cutscene they're introduced. Still a good game regardless.
Fable games are pretty bad for character development as well. Like in Fable 1 where you can kill Whisper for gold from the arena. Seeing as all she did was wake me up a couple of times and hit me with sticks, I didn't consider much before decapitating her for the cash.

Carmine from GOW1, he had a little more screen time in GOW2, but just once I want a Carmine to be a complete badass dude and not get killed instantly/half way through.

I really wish Andrew Ryan hadn't bit the dust so damn fast. He's such an awesome villain, I was disapointed when all he did was politely asked you to bludgeon him. I also miss John Henry Eden, mostly because he has such a soothing voice.
DiZ in Kingdom Hearts. I know he was present in almost all of Chain of Memories and KH2, but he never DID anything apart from sit at his computer and spout cryptic phrases. and then when he's finally taking initiative and about to do something cool, he dies. that pissed me off big time. I was so looking forward to seeing him in KH3. Of course, all of this might have something that he was voiced by Christopher Lee. I could listen to that voice forever.
Definitly Nilhus in Mass Effect or possibly Jenkins. Dieing in the tutorial level is never a good sign!
Dana and Ragland in Prototype. They just up and disappear and aren't mentioned again. I liked the idea of Alex having allies in a city where everybody hates his guts.
