Definitly Nilhus in Mass Effect or possibly Jenkins. Dieing in the tutorial level is never a good sign!
I'll agree with you on Nihlus. He was cool and I would have liked to see him more.

[sup]I'm glad Jenkins died.[/sup]
But Jenkins was a very valuable member! He did so much! :p

But I agree Nihlus, he was cool!

Liam Neeson was the voice of Mario in Super Mario Sunshine.
LIES! Mario was played by Charles Martinet. The only game that I could find that Liam Neeson had a role in was Fallout 3.

Jim in Lost and Damned. he just had to be one of those faceless bikers from the original GTAIV mission and then you can't use him for the rest of the game?

I was going to say both of them, plus Trask in KotOR. You think Bioware's building a pattern?

For this one I have two. The first would be Atlas. He is easily among my favorite game characters of all time and was a very likable support character. The second would be Bill McDonagh. I also found Bill to be extremely likable, and found it unfortunate he had died before you arrived in Rapture
True on the second one. You have to love his speech, teary voiced and all, before he did what killed him.

Captain price from cod 4,Although his death has not been confirmed.
Actually, I think I remember hearing that he survived, but won't be in MW2.

In Arkham Asylum, Uh...
Clayman...Clay...I don't remember most of his name but they could have used him more then just a damn riddle.
Then again I didn't play the game very much after I beat it so I don't know if thats the only thing they did with him.

I'll say that other engineer in Dead Space who's always just ahead of you, and when you finally get to him, there's a conveniently time-locked door.

Luis from Resident Evil 4. Sure, he wasn't important but I wouldn't have minded if he stuck around for more than just three scenes...
Also, the blonde girl in Resident Evil 5. Allyson or whatever. They set her up like she was going to be important and then she wasn't. At all.

Urick from Drakengard 2 would've been another one that I would've loved to have kept around longer. He had a decent amount of time in your party but still. He was so awesome that they should've given him to you sooner.

I'll probably think of more later. I can't think of very many at the moment and I'm sure there are quite a few.

and 'Dad' from Fallout 3 who dies only minutes after you reunite with him.
Ugh, I agree. I finally reunited with Liam Neeson's awesome voice, and what do I get? Not even a hug, or a high-five for risking my life to find him. No, I get to jog back to Rivet City with him, enjoy some dialog surrounding a machine that he loves even more than his own daughter, and then watch him die.

For me, it didn't really give the rest of the game enough purpose.
Lolzorz, I like how they actually got the machine to work even after he died, so he died for absoulutly no reason, I mean, why didn't they all just walk out, get the Brohood and own their asses while they had the chance?

Carlos in Saint's Row 2, he was a cool guy.
This. He was one of the most likable characters, always tried to to the best for the gang and wasn't a complete prick like some of your allies.
Pierce should have died instead.

Tai. He was a character that really could have been used more than a single section in the beginning. I still love playing as him online, though.

I'm going to have to say Reks from Final Fantasy XII. Who knows? He could have been a decent main character with some actual influence in the plot, unlike a certain brother of his.

I'd say the Arbiter and Captain Anderson. If you know what they have in common, cookie 4 you.
They were both voiced by Keith David. He also voiced "Julius" in the Saints Row series. He has a very memorable voice....

I have to second people's votes for Tai (GoW) and Carlos (SR2). I'd always thought Seth Green's character from Mass Effect could do with some more screen time. Then again, he can't walk too well apparently so there's not much else he could do.
