These are characters you have a bit of an obsession with, or at least like them way too much.
I have two:

Garrus Vakarian from the Mass Effect series. I have an extreme bromance with Garrus. A little too extreme. I would seriously take Garrus over my romance option (Jack). I gotta have my bro.
The Second:

Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4. My obsession with Naoto is well documented. I'd seriously marry her given the chance.

So, does anyone else like a character a little too much? Could be a romance option, NPC, etc.

Anders from DA:A. I love that man.
And Merrill from DA2. Something about her voice, and it being so Iri-scotti-newcastle-ish.
Plus, she says some funny things and gets good reactions from Hawke.
"Hand prints? Who's been swinging on the banister again?... Merrill..."

I'll agree with Merrill. She is just so adorable. She was my no-brainer romance option. Yeah, I love Hawke's dialogue, "Merrill's been jumping on the bed again." That, combined with her tragic questline, made me love her.
Anders was great in Awakenings. He..he has changed a bit.

Fuuka Yamagishi, she's so adorable/smexy and the only female party member that isn't cold/obsessive. She's also really nerdy and a little bit moe. I did end up naming my GPS after her

Gwah, no spoilers please, just finished the first bit of her romance, and I've pretty much been spoiler free so far.

Yeah, that's my main gripe with DA2. Where's my funny Anders man gone, Bioware? EH?

Alistair from Dragon Age.
I would let Alistair do all sorts of depraved and dirty things to me. After, we would snuggle.

And I mean that in the most heterosexual way possible.

I was seriously questioning my sexuality with Kanji the first few times "he" showed up. The oddly androgynous voice didn't tip me off til about when "he" was kidnapped.

My own addition: Jade from Beyond Good and Evil.

I'll admit it, I hold a perverse love in my heart for her.

Probably Iris from the Atelier Iris series. I don't even like her personality that much its just the way she is presented through the series that makes her special to me.

You meet her adult self in the first game then meet her as a child in the second and see her life in her teen years in the third. Something about seeing the full life span of such an important character and witnessing the events that defined her life made a very big impact on me.

Nah, it coo'. Pretty much everyone in a Bioware game has a tragic backstory so saying that one character does doesn't really reveal too much.

I really do love Akali, not sexually, but in a sort of "that is incredibly awesome, and damn but that needs some respect" kind of way.

[sub][sub]That or it could be that she's the closes thing to a Claymore in a game I've seen.[/sub][/sub]

Freya Crescent from Final Fantasy IX.
Beautiful, badass, and quickly became my favorite FF character ever.

Also...
- Spyro the dragon, he was my goddamn childhood and I stick with him through his series' ups and downs.
- Altair from AC. I think he deserves another game, or at least a part in one.

Tali, in a parental, protective kind of way. Her face is hidden, but she still manages puppy-dog eyes with her voice at times. I hear Darth Tr-em, Kreia(sp?) in my head saying "She'll be stronger if you let face her own problems..." yet still I'm compelled to make her smile, even though I'll never see it.

This feeling creeps me out to no end.

Merrill in DA2 pulls the same act. Except she pleads with big, round puppy dog eyes that you can see. Honestly, she could ask me to stab myself and I'd probably do it. I...can't...refuse...that...look...and...voice.
