UUGGHHH... Any boring main antagonist who carelessly throws away and holds no regard for the last of his/her/its subordinates. I have a penchant for shouting, "You're gonna need them later, dumbass?!?!" whenever they send scores to be needlessly slaughtered. Speaking of which, for a particularly annoying example...

Albert Wesker, in all his preachy-yet-1-dimensional glory.

Yeah, he's (basically) a bio-enhanced evil genius with a nihilistic Darwinist streak, but... got any other personality/thought processes big guy?

Got any favorite foods? Do you even eat at all? Walks in the park? What are your thoughts on faithful and effective mook followers? Like poetry? What kind of music do you listen to? Do you do the girls (hated you for what you did to Excella, ya bastich. She had boobs from the gods!?)? Hankerings for the guys (obsessed with vengeance against Chris Redfield, much?)?

The one character that I DESPISE WITH PASSION is Saphira from Eragon (the series).
That pretentious, annoying, conciousless...... AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! She is one of the PROTAGANISTS! I'm not supposed to hate her more than the villains!

Who do YOU hate?

My list: SAPHIRA!!! - Eragon series.
Junior - The Cleveland Show
The Munchkins - The Venture Brothers (funny though)
Everyone in Twilight
Everyone in 28 Weeks Later
Ron Weasely - Harry Potter movies, (not as much hate as contempt.)
Justin Beiber - you knew it was inevitable.

Also, anyone named after elements in nature, like say, "Lightning" or "Fang" or "Cloud" or "Black guy with Afro". Just as examples.
HOW CAN YOU HATE CLEVELAND JUNIOR??!?!!?

OT: I don't really know.. Can't think of any.

Everyone in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. The book was so god awful I was rooting for the murderous child-rapist.

I have said this before but here it goes again:

John Forge in Halo Wars.

I cannot for the life of me work out what made me hate this guy so much. Maybe it was the fact that his quips were so brainless even Duke Nukem would cringe if he heard them, or the fact that he was merely another in the long line of 'humanity hell yeah' kind of protagonists who is infallibly awesome and badass while all the aliens were turned into cookie cutter blarging monsters, or maybe it was because he was a piggish arrogant moron. I couldn't tell exactly what it was that drove me to murderous hate like that but seriously every single time he was on screen he said or did something that annoyed me.
His crowning moment was when Ripa Moramee had Ellen Anders hostage by the throat and he decided that that exact moment was the right time to call Ripa a 'freak'. Yes, insult the easily angered giant hunk of reptilian flesh and muscle that is right now well and truly capable of flaying your girlfriend apart and indeed has been known to do so on multiple occasions. That should go down well.
And of course this had to happen after he picked up a piece of scrap metal and suggest that she put it in her 'scrapbook'. EPIC ANGRY GROAN!

But still when I saw the Arbiter (Ripa) beating the ever loving hell out of Forge within an inch of his life all I could do was cheer. I was seriously hoping, desperately might I add, that the Arbiter would smash the smug grin right off Forge's face until all that remains is a splinter maw of broken bloody teeth and mutilated puffy flesh. It's funny because I hated the Arbiter from Halo Wars. Even though he was cool he was also an overdone evil villain who compromised the good humanized look of the Covenant by being a one note angry bad guy who beats up his subordinates, insults people, shows a complete disregard for honor and wants nothing more than to enact mass slaughter on a galactic scale.
(I admit though I like how he makes for an interesting contrast from the much friendly Arbiter from the main trilogy)
And yet I still rooted for him over Forge and suddenly I realized that Forge had actually made me want the Covenant to succeed. Sure, Ripa Moramee might have been a complete arrogant monstrous sociopath who fittingly died in a shameful honor-less way but at least he never made a 'scrapbook' joke.

I 'know' that Masterchief has a lot of these other characteristics but perhaps the fact that he knew when quips were appropriate and when to 'shut the f*ck up' and when he did the one note badass thing it was still more believable and a little less in your face. But I still can't be sure, after all while I don't hate Masterchief I still don't think he holds a candle to the Arbiter (Thel Vadam).
At the end of the day though, all the heroic traits the Masterchief had didn't bother me nearly as much as Forge's did.

I don't get it, usually I always develop some level of connection to the cast in a Halo game. In Halo 1 I genuienly enjoyed listening to the quips between Masterchief and Cortana, in Halo 2 I liked Johnson and Miranda and of course the Arbiter and Half Jaw and in Halo 3 I pretty much liked the lot of them, loved at best and at least partial to at most.
I liked the team in ODST, they weren't the best in the world but being voiced by the Firefly guys kind of rocks and I liked Noble Team in Halo: Reach even though when you come right down to it, they are drenched in cliche.

So I cannot, for the life of me, work out why I dislike John Forge so much. Maybe it's because it wasn't by Bungie but truth be said, I don't know....

If you've ever seen the show Community, I hate that Jeff guy (played by Joel McHale; he's the main character, the one who was a lawyer before the bar association found out he didn't have a Bachelor's). He's the central character in the show; he's the one who always figures out what the right thing to do is and gives a big speech about it, and who ultimately is responsible for keeping their wacky ragtag band together. Unfortunately, he's a complete asshole to everyone. There is not a single likable thing about this character. He's a dick to everybody, he's always starting arguments, and he carries himself like a smug prick. If I'm supposed to empathize with him, I can't.

That said, Community is still the second-best show on television.
I agree, the show itself fell into the usual rut of fall programming, where we were set up with a character whose only defining characteristic is how "awesome" he is, and the show sets up a romantic subplot with him and the other lady in the first episode and tries to be "Pam and Jim" about it.

That being said, it dodged the largest fall programming rut of star-power forced comedy. The reason Community is good is because the comedic workload is spread out among a variety of characters instead on lumped onto one star, which makes the entire appeal of the show entirely dependent on whether you find that one person funny.

OP:Jay Leno, he used to be relevant but ever since he sacrificed Conan to the blood god in exchange for eternal life hes been trying too hard to appeal to "youth", which mainly consists of showing clips of cats from Youtube from 6 years ago or having Justin Beiber on as the musical guest. Just stick to your frat boy pandering and you'll be fine Jay, leave the next generation to Conan, he understands.

Though Lightning was as endearing as a cheese grater for most of the game. So I guess just Fang.

Usually the main character from any movie with child protagonists. Seriously, I got excited whenever the kid from "Where the Wild Things Are" had his life threatened.

No, you're supposed to hate Slippy, Star Fox 64 clearly illustrated the hell out of that.

I hate Jerry Seinfeld as himself and as a comedian. The rest of the show is great but so many things about him irk me sometimes, more often than not, everyone else's antics balance him out.

This entirely depends now, did you (a) Watch the Rebuild films series? or (b) Watch the show Neon Genesis Evangelion?

If (a), then:
Meh. I wouldn't disagree.

If (b), then:
Hahahaha silleh noob. You probably didn't even watch it to the end. Heck, if you called them shallow then you must have watched to less than about Episode 16. Or are dumb.

What makes a deep character then? Name me one.

(Presuming you aren't referring to Rebuild)

Aragorn from Lord of the Rings.

Jessie thinks I hate him is because he has beard stubble & I (Trichotillomaniac that I am) had to see it on the big screen for hours & hours through 3 movies, with no shaving redemption in sight.

Shanna thinks I hate him because I thought Elrond was hot & Elrond didn't seem to like him.

I love how shallow my friends think I am. lol XD
So... Why do you?
