I despise Elizabeth from BioShock: Infinite, half the time she acts incredibly emotional, being upset and being well characterised. However in gameplay she becomes an arrogant, sadistic and cold woman who gives little to no care for any life except characters with names. This odd and often fast change irritated me and yes, she's well written and I enjoy her voice acting, and the relationship between her and Booker is something I hardly see in gaming (although the "Call me Booker" thing happens far too often) but it mystifies me why everyone loves her.

Oh and there's also one thing that really put me off her,

After the final mission when Songbird is summoned to help and she's letting him destroy everything in his path, the Songbird goes to retrieve Elizabeth so her first reaction is to teleport the three to Rapture and brutally kill him by allowing the pressures of the ocean to crush him. While creative I was incredibly baffled by this, she says she hates Songbird but during that last level the way she exploits and just kills him in such a manner while going "It's alright, it's ok" made me believe that she's a psychotic *****.
Look up the effects of Stockholm Syndrome.

I watched one episode of Archer and couldn't see the appeal. He pissed me off, and none of the other characters endeared themselves to me either.
I like archer because its unhinged in a good way. Not Family Guy Unhinged.

In the first couple of episodes they start toning back Sterling stupidity and even use it to discuss mental disorders in the later seasons.

It still wouldn't justify her schizophrenic, bipolar nature the rest of the game, she was never imprisoned by any character other than Comstock and Songbird.

I first went to superheroes for this and the obvious is just Superman, he is just 'bleh'. While he has heat vision and flight etc, there is just no personality..
Wolverine is an annoyance as well, just a grumpy old man tbh. I get that its built into his background etc, but they are making many films just about him, whereas there are other x-men more worthy of the solo film.

On the contrary, I don't mind raiden half as much as most people seem to hate him. It's a refreshment from the alpha male provado of Snake.

Jellal Fernandez from Fairy Tail, great villain, but bringing him back as an anti-hero pissed me off, especially since the writer thinks that pulling the "he was possessed" card instantly makes things okay with him, bullshit, he fucking murdered Erza's childhood friend and laughed in his face as he died, even if he was possessed, that is not something that is cleared up by him losing his memory.
I was like this at first, now I am more at the "meh, what a dick" stage. I don't mind him, but I don't like him either.

OT: The entire cast of Mortal Kombat. They are all horrible people!

To put it into perspective. I used to hate Mortal Kombat because of it's fatalities, I felt so sorry for the victim. I watched a lets play, got to know the characters.. Now I don't mind anymore.

Fuck em' and let em suffer.

Mario. What's to love? He's a stereotypical Italian
How the hell is Mario a stereotypical italian? The most italian thing about him is his name and the accent - which he uses just as often as a Brooklyn accent.

Stereotypical italians are plumbers/carpenters? His moustache is more German than Italian. He's not depicted as lazy and irresponsible like most Southern European stereotypes..

I hate most non-hero females in comic books. Moira from First Class especially, Mary-Jane, Rachel from the Nolan movies and Pepper Potts to an extent, although I think that's because I can't stand Gwyneth Paltrow.

They seem to be COMPLETELY incompetent and stupid. I understand they're there for the love interest but they're just so stupid and get in the way. The writers must think normal women are completely retarded.

Fuck em all. I'd rather my superheros have some flaws.
All of these characters are very flawed. Maybe not Suerpman, he's just really really boring.

But Wolverine especially

Wolverine arguable has more emotional baggage than anyone in the Marvel Universe. He doesn't even know his own name. A lot of his issues stem from wanting to have the flaws of a more mortal man. He tries to be self-destructive in many ways hoping it will do him some sort of bodily harm, though rarely if ever does he succeed. There's an issue about this yearly ritual Wolverine has. He gets this other mutant, who is basically the Hatian from Heroes, to come to a bar with him just so he can get shitfaced and get his ass kicked in a bar fight.

Superman and Captain America. Sorry, I'm not American and I'm not a fan of either patroitism (being proud of the patch of land you were born feels like being proud you hace brown hair) nor the ideal of "the American dream" (which rings very false for me. That these characters are an embodiment of that really doesn't do ti for me. They are perfect and they are perfect because they are American. It feels really off to me.

Also, any character in those lines, whose part of their "greatness" is not a character strength but a fortuitous trait of birth is ridiculous. SO Wolverine and Goku too.
That's kind of the point of Captain America at this point. In a lot of story arch's he is still stuck in a 1940s 1950s GO AMERICA! mentality, along with many other dated 1950s mentalities (rampant sexism). It's a struggle for him to try to adapt to modern America

Ezio from ACII. Altair was a much better character.
And because he was such a amazingly well-developed character, Ubisoft gave us THREE games with this douchebag.
Ezio shoulda died in a hole...
Going with that, well, can I start with some others mentioned? Kratos for one. River from Firefly is another. Pretty much most superheroes. Oh, Gordon Freeman. Marcus Fenix. (And many others from that series.) Doom Guy. Ellis from Left4Dead2 . Asbel Lhant from Tales of Graces. A few of the BlazBlue cast. (Primarily Carl.) A few of the FF4 cast.

I'm kinda disappointed I can't think of more. It's probably better I avoid the rage though.

Every Call of Duty mainstay character. I'm talking Cpt. Price (and his stupid fucking mustache), Soap, Ghost, Ramirez, Woods, Makarov, Mason, Hudson, Dragovich, and Menendez. Fuck all of them. I know a lot of us here laugh at CoD campaign stories, but some people legitimately LOVE these characters and I honestly can't not see why. So many of them literally have no REAL goals, especially the fucking 'villians'.

Makarov. Let's just start here shall we? Before "No Russian" he is a known extremist and "apprentice", if you will, to Zachiev from CoD4 (the apprentice of previous villain = new villain is such a cop out too). And the plan of 'No Russian' is to shoot up a Russian airport killing hundreds of civilians, murder a colleague which he knew all along was CIA, to coax the Russian government to declare war on America.

Problem #1: KNOWN EXTREMIST SLAUGHTERS HUNDREDS IN AN AIRPORT AND NOT ONE CAMERA IN PLACE SEES HIM. B.S.

For the remainder of MW2, he doesn't do much else aside of attacking a prison island with an entire private army, just to assassinate Cpt. Price who got captured... How? Nvm. The focus shifts over to fighting a rogue American General who believes he used Makarov and plotted 'No Russian' all along, but that is debunked later in MW3 'No Russian' was Makarov all along, no one uses Makarov cause he's a mastermind. Such a Mastermind, that after the Russian advance in the US is forced to retreat he SOMEHOW plants gas bomb trucks all over Europe, and after detonation, takes control of the entire Russian Army is invading ALL OF EUROPE within hours. He then kidnaps the Russian President and then does nothing with him.. And all of this leads up to what?! Nothing. It's all just a show that 'one man's will can spin the world into chaos'..

Problem #2: WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF ANYTHING HE JUST DID?!

This man has no goal. No end game. A Gigantic master plan that does nothing but just prove that he's just a big dick. He's not the fucking Joker. If the whole point was to Coup Russia and then take over the world, it would make a little more sense.

Menendez. I didn't really pay all that much attention to the back story of BlopsII, but jist I got was he's upset cause American black ops agents kill his sister, and now he plots to destory America by hacking all of the USA's high tech unmanned drone army and floating them over China until he orders them to attack. If they attack, China holds the US responsible and World War III, again, I guess.. Except in my ending, He intentionally self destructs all of the drones, gets arrested, breaks out, kills Woods, then goes to the grave of his sister and commits suicide by igniting himself on fire.... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF EVERYTHING HE JUST DID?!

This is getting far too long.. In short, all of the other characters are just lame, and for Ghost? Why do people want him back? he didn't do anything, he was just some guy with a skull stylized balaclava.

I'm done.

Rick's wife from the Walking Dead. I don't know how popular she was but...

when she died I applauded. I really did sit there clapping my hands. God damn it I hated that woman.

Batman and Superman. They're old and tired but too popular for anyone to make any significant changes to to freshen them up. Batman, in particular, maybe because his rogue gallery is filled with people FAR more interesting than he is. I remember the first cartoon episode with Mr. Freeze in it. As you recall, he said his condition had left him emotionally devoid. But at the end of the episode you see him crying. He claims to be emotionally dead yet shows more emotion than Batman EVER does.

Goku. I hate Goku. Vegeta hit the nail on the head when he called him a clown. He's a clown with the powers of a god who causes as many world devastating situations as he solves. "I could have killed Buu, but I wanted to give the next generation a chance...." "Here Cell, instead of having Trunks or Vegeta finish you off, have a sensu bean and fight my little child because.... reasons..." "We shouldn't find and destroy Dr. Gero before he finishes the androids because I'm more than willing to risk my friends, family, and the people of the world so that I can get a good fight!"

And, finally, almost every anime main character. The whiny, indecisive, sexually repressed "really really nice guy" who every woman falls for for NO apparent reason. Apparently every other guy on earth is a massive douche bag. Tenchi was ok. He had a reason why he didn't get with the girls in his series... they were all complete psychos! But, in every other anime I've seen, there's NO reason why the main character shouldn't have been getting laid or at least going on dates five episodes in. They're just complete fucking screw ups and I'm rather insulted that this is the person I'm expected to identify with.

Goku and superman , Goku is just a little bit dense and a bit of a prick, dial that up to 11 though and its hilarious and why I watch DBZA but unless its that I just cant stand the guy and its why I never watched it when it first came out.
Superman is easy , he's a invulnerable holier then thou ass who takes the fun out of any sort of fight scene as nothing hurts the dude and he's infinitely strong, as darkside found out if he has to he'll just stand there and punch you for days until you fall down , what can you do with that. My dislike for superman lead me to read "soon I will be invincible" which is a superman vs any villain story from the villains side.

Superman
Spiderman
Both act like morons.

I also learn to hate Mario and Link due to just how utterly ridiculous oversaturated crappy they became.

All the main characters in AC2

Tony Stark (Iron Man).

I just really don't care for this character and think he is overhyped. Big headed too often, egotistical and I just can't relate to him in anyway. I love the suits but the character I honestly don't care about.
yep, the concept of the suit and all is purely awesome. as a character? the best performance is still in the animated movie.

Ezio. I would say that his character sucks, but to be fair, I have forgotten everything from the Ezio games, because they were so boring. Altair was way more interesting and had a actual character arc.

Arya Stark. I hate her more because almost everyone thinks she is such a amazing character. Sure, she has some nice stuff going on, but in her scenes, I am more interested in the people she with or the situation she is in, than her. She herself is shown as an amazing kid with great abilities even though she never actually fought or did anything besides reacting like a ten year old, which she actually is.

Daenerys Targaryen, I just don't get why people don't see how dumb she is. she is acting like a annoying teenager, but most people think she is a brilliant person who will take the iron throne. I really hope not.

It may be a problem for the Capt. but still he is more or less "the greatest hero that ever lived" and everybody loves him. His go America attitude while outdated isn't that frouned upon, it usually makes him a hero to even heroes. The modern America isn't that past that "America is the best" mentality, so it isn't that uch of a struggle to adapt. And there is that thought that small town 50's America is an ideal place and time and the Capt has that nostalgia around him too. I simply have him too patriotic and boring.

Maybe I just read it differently? It seems like it becomes less acceptable to other characters in the universe the more it continues, especially in/after the Civil War story arc.
