Dolores. Fucking. Umbridge.
Seriously, she, Cornelius Fudge, and Rita Skeeter form a triad that I personally find more evil than most of Voldemort's forces. Because, yes, they're racist in god knows how many ways and they torture and murder and maim and slay. But Umbridge, Fudge, and Skeeter? Umbridge I won't even explain, if you can't see her evil you need to get your morality sorted. Fudge is blind, corrupt and refuses to acknowledge something even in the face of overwhelming evidence, costing the lives of many and, tbh, ultimately leading to Voldemort's takeover of the ministry by giving him a whole year to prepare. That much stupidity in someone who's meant to be a guide and a leader is just not good enough and I'd call it evil. Skeeter's a cow who benefits herself by twisting the truth (and outright lying) in order to further her own agenda at the cost of other peoples' good reputations and arguably their entire livelihoods. If she wrote the sort of things she wrote about Harry and Dumbledore about many other people I'm sure many would have found themselves in ridiculous amounts of entirely unmerited trouble. They could lose their job, lose friends, lose partners, anything. And the really awful thing is that people don't even bother to question her; even Harry's closest friends are slightly drawn in by Skeeter's writing in The Goblet Of Fire. Seriously. They are terrible people and should feel terrible.

I think Skyler from Breaking Bad was mentioned already - her and Jesse Pinkman. Jesse might have his twists and turns and his character does have some depth, but as far as I can tell - he just can't stop being stupid, saying stupid things, and making stupid decisions.

Lilly and Larry from The Walking Dead game. I even tried to like her and tried to stay on Larry's good side (there isn't one). I spent my whole second play through (through Ep.3 so far anyway) agreeing with her and trying to see things from her point of view. Couldn't. I absolutely hate those characters. Even when they tried to explain their attitudes and give me some meager snippet of back-story to 'relate' to, I couldn't find myself sympathizing with them - at all. Maybe I'm not supposed to.

So we all have those few characters that we just hate with every inch of our body, the ones that we wish and look forward to bad things happening to them. I'm not talking about just badly written characters, I'm talking about characters who's actions, personality and voice just pisses you off. So, what character do you absolutely loath?

Now, I'm gonna get this out of the way. Joffrey from Game of Thrones. I haven't watched season 2 yet so don't say if anything bad happens to him, neither have I read the books. But that little bastard is the most terrible human being ever put on screen. Unlike many of the other villians in the series Joffrey hasn't had to suffer hardships, or go through wars or anything else, he's just a spoilt brat bastard who I hope to god is killed in season 2 or season 3.
Oh wow ninja'd by the damn OP. oh well Joffrey's mother is almost as bad, I have 3 dogs in my family and have all ways loved wolves, and when she manipulated the king into ordering that innocent dire wolf executed, I wanted to kill her, her smug little face made he honest to good want to cut her heart out with a spoon.

characters i hate other than game of thrones? hmmmm...oh wow how could I almost forget...

Umbridge from Harry Potter. that fat hag that tortures students, literally tortures them, force them to basically cut themselves for hours over and over again in the same spot while she watches and GLOATS. smug *****.

I think when ever a smug villain comes on i just get really pissed off. hmmm...

I hate absolutely everything about Kai Leng from ME3, like even his design upsets me, seriously was the Illusive Man on an anime binge or something? Why did he make a fucking cyborg ninja? He just seems so weirdly out of place in his design.

And other than that, probably Lilly from the Walking Dead videogame and...fuck man, if you've played episode three you know what I'm talking about, what a *****.

-Ahem- GRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you read berserk you'll know why he's here. If not: He's like Joffrey, you're kinda meant to hate him. Incidentally, Joffrey from GOT is also on here.

Vaan from Final Fantasy 12. Never have i seen a more pointless and annoying main character! Nowe from Drakengard 2 is a close second.

True that, but frankly he strikes me a character Bioware designed that you're SUPPOSED to hate.

The whole cyborg ninja thing he had going is something I wasn't really bothered by, I, in fact, thought it was pretty cool. But the character himself thoroughly demonstrates how evil and jerkish he is, that way the moment you engage him in a final boss fight and finally kill him makes the moment all the more satisfying.

But as for the characters I hate with a passion? well, I might go with Anora from Dragon Age: Origins.

The way she back-stabbed me twice in that game strikes me as evidence that she cares more about getting her queenhood back than on the threat of the Darkspawn. And she doesn't even admit to betrayal.

Also Maven Black-Briar, which gives me this question to Bethesda; "Y U NO GIVE OPTION TO KILL MAVEN AND WIPE OUT THIEVES GUILD?"

Shane Walsh from the Walking Dead. He is a psychopath, plain and simple. First of all he sleeps with his best friend's wife like a month after they both believe him to be dead. He beats people almost to a bloody pulp, attempts to kill Rick twice three times, tried to rape Lori, traumatised an entire family by slaughtering their zombiefied family members in front of them and murdered at least two people, one of whom was a good man trying to help.

And for some reason people keep giving him a second chance, I was often breathless at how idiotic people were being. Hey Rick this guy is a double murderer who has threatened your life at least twice because he is obsessed with taking your wife and son for himself, you really think one stern conversation is going to make him back off? Hey Lori, the guy who tried to aggressively force himself on you and attempted to murder your husband because he's quite prepared to take you by force if he can't get you willingly is not someone you want socializing with your son!

It blows my mind on so many levels that people keep overlooking how clearly unhinged and dangerous Shane really is. How is it possible that Dale is the only one who even seems concerned by it for half the season? What does he have to do before people stop trusting him?

The actor did a really good job portraying Shane as a 'psychopath who doesn't know he's a psychoapth' type character but the show's writers seemed to keep trying to make him into a sympathetic character and kept trying to push the whole 'love triangle' element between him and Rick fighting for Lori's affections. That just disturbs me that they think there's even a competition between the noble Rick and Shane. Sure Shane maybe technically have protected Lori and Carl a few times but Rick never tried to rape her nor did he ever commit murder in the name of 'protecting' her.
Hell even Lori's actress, Sarah Wayne Collins, refuted the notion of Lori being angry at Rick because
he killed Shane
because she was in love with Shane but because she was scared that Rick was turning into Shane. When your actress is refuting your own writing, you know you've done something wrong.

Andrea from The Walking Dead.

God I want her to get torn apart by zombies. I might throw a party if that happens.
How come? I'm not attacking but I'm curious. I've never had a problem with Andrea but everyone seems to spew hatred at her constantly, could you explain why you have a problem with her?

Anders from Dragon Age 2. My first time playing I actually loved him. I thought, "oh, what a fantastic character! He's so charming and sweet and he likes cats! Hawke is so getting laid!" I was a huge mage sympathizer and everything he did just seemed so ~*TORTURED*~ and he only wanted JUSTICE and ... yeah. But upon seeing his act of blatant terrorism, I did a complete 180. All of my cutsie wootsie feelings turned into flaming piles of nope. I've played two more games since then, and I can't even stand to talk to him. I skip all of his dialogue options and shirk off his quests for the last minute. I've never, EVER had a video game character irk me that much, and it's surprising just how fucking livid he gets me.

Lori Grimes from The Walking Dead. Now, I'm generally a pretty patient viewer. Seeing Lori messing around with Shane was pretty messed up, but I could sympathize with her: she thinks her husband is dead and she's searching for any kind of tangible emotion in this world that's suddenly gone to hell. Okay, Lori, I'll let it slide. Once Rick returned she told Shane it was over, and I had mad respect. I think she really started to grind my gears in Season 2. First of all, you'd think the number one priority of a mother during the zombie apocalypse would be to watch her damn child, but APPARENTLY FUCKING NOT. Carl is another little piece of shit whom I hate with a passion, but I guess I'm just lumping him in with his mom. She tries to act like the big bad ***** and "queen" figure of the group when she is basically worthless. Andrea's the brawn, Carol is basically serving as the housewife, and what is Lori doing? WHINING about every goddamn thing. She plays such this obnoxious "overemotional wife" trope and it's bullshit. My absolute favorite moment of S2 was when Andrea (who is my favorite character) called her out on her bullshit after she was scolding her for letting suicidal Beth be on her own. Which is another thing that bothers me: Lori acts like the patron saint of womanhood, trying to be all "girl power!11" but she can't even watch her kid, or have a level-headed conversation with her husband. She just drives me up a wall. And I know it's bad writing, but fucking CRASHING A CAR ON AN EMPTY ROAD? Really *****?
...jeez, sorry for the rant!

Kreia. Fuck that arrogant, conceited, jabbering Revan-masturbating-to pseudophilosophical Chris Avellone mouthpiece. Fuck her with a rusty vibroaxe and then switch it on full power.
Couldn't have said it better. The entire game is pseudophilosophical shit. What a shame the gameplay was actually better than KotoR 1.

Laguna from Final Fantasy VIII. Mostly because I actually like Squall, and Laguna is the exact opposite of everything that makes Squall a good character, although I kinda think that was the point. It was like Square tried to make this unlikable asshole as the stand-in for more traditionally "likable" protagonists as a response to what they thought people would think of Squall, and everyone missed the point.

Now onto the list!
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones
Esbern and Delphine from Skyrim
Montezuma from Civilization
Every protagonist from the Nasuverse who eventually unlock powers that make everyone else basically useless in comparison.
Gilgamesh from Fate
Touma from A certain Magical Index
Mako from Legend of Korra
Ashley and Miranda from Mass Effect
Waaaaaait... Jon Snow made your list but Joffrey, Cersei, or Samwell didn't!?!?

Don't know who the rest of those are except for Ashley and Miranda. I didn't care enough about Ashley to hate her but I hated Miranda. If, when she said she's perfect in every way, she meant a perfect ***** with a giant man jaw, yeah I guess she was perfect.

Now onto the list!

Goku
Jeoffry
Samwell
Everyone in Bleach except for Kenpachi
Miranda
Ice Type Pokemon (Seriously 1 resistance and 4 weaknesses, including fighting and fire??)
Naruto
Kahn King (King of the Hill)
Stan (American Dad)
Peter (Family Guy)
Star Child (ME3)
Every whiny and indecisive male protagonist of any anime who mysteriously gets a harem of girls throwing their bodies at him just because, gosh darn it, he's just so very very nice. Makes me wanna vomit.

Dean Pelton from Community. I've always kinda disliked him, but I really started to detest him after "Studies in Modern Movement", where he essentially blackmails Jeff Winger into spending "a day at the mall with Craig" (read: FORCED TO GO ON A DATE). Then I went and rewatched Community, and realized that he's always been just plain creepy, and I've hated him ever since.

I think her apearence was more due to technical reasons...

also shes not "actually" perfect..but designed to be perfect, theres a difference, yeah, shes full of herself but I think "more or less" reasonable
