I've been playing Mount&Blade Warband recently, and have been schmoozing up to Count Reland, one of the usual Marshals of the Rhodocks.

That bastard decides it's a better strategy to raid villages than capture a major city of the Sarrannids, and refused to do anything, even though he was at the highest disposition I could get him (100/100). It's more of a game problem than a character problem, but that guy sounded like he was going to jump in my pants by the way he talked to me, nevermind that I was playing as a guy myself.

Bonus points if you know what I'm talking about, by the way.

Oh my god, I hated getting peoples dispositions. By the time I stopped playing my 'friends' were all in warring nations on account of me having captured and released them so many times.

Also, every time I capture a town it pretty much comes down to just me, then if the king gives it to someone else I completely lose it and go around killing everyone.

Good game! ^_^

Wheeler in silent hill homecoming. Hes not a stereotype like yahtzee depicted, but the asshole throws you in jail. FOR NO REASON! What a dick move.

Sheva. Need I say more?
Well Wheeler did find you neat to the mayor's body. That's why he threw Alex in Jail.

Sheva wasn't so bad because I was controlling her in co-op play with my brother.
If the mayors body was next to him, then fitchs body wouldve been next to him at the docs office, but it wasnt, meaning that the bodies get left in silent hills other world. Which means wheeler casually strolls to the cemetery, sees alex and throws his ass in jail for nothing. Even if the body was there, it wouldve been obvious that a creature killed him. Alex isnt that strong to kill a man like that. But lets act like wheeler didnt do any of that. They couldve had another entire part of the game where you travel to the sheriffs station, and attempt to report it before the station gets attacked. That wouldve been a much better way to introduce him, and make him more likeable rather than tossing you in a cell on sight.

But in the end its silent hill, everyones going to see it there own way. I dont mean any of this in arguement just as stating the way I saw it.

But Im not as fortunate to have a friend play sheva, so her ai was grueling for me. I seriously bought a stun rod, just to smack her with it. So youre lucky on that one sir, more lucky than I was when I played. Congrats to you on that.

It's not too hard, really. The best thing to do is to pledge vassalage to your favorite faction, and do various odd jobs for the counts. Going to war with them helps, as you gain a Friendship Point(TM) when you fight by their side, whether battling outside or besieging a castle. If you want to be nice to the king, basically win any battle against a count/emir/jarl. You also get a Friendship Point(TM) that way.

If you want a piece of land, be nice to 3-5 people and ask them to support you. Usually if your disposition towards them is higher than 12 or so, they agree, unless they're supporting their king or someone they really like. In that case, you need a good deal more disposition.

Maybe it was just bad luck, but with most of the counts (I swore Vassalage (SP?) to Swadia) scratching their bums doing nothing but possibly raiding little villages I sort of went my own way, To be honest the kind hated me because I ended up causing so many wars with people we were at peace with. People tend to give you the places if you capture them alone anyway though, so it wasn't too bad, except when I had too many.

Did you ever become a king yourself?

No, actually, but I do own Reyvadin, Pagundur, Sekhtem, Mazigh, Chide, Emirin, and Jameyyed Castle. The game has an arbitrary limit to the places you can own by voting/schmoozing, which I think gets higher with your renown.

I just got the game about a week ago, and I've been playing it nonstop since. My schedule with it is getting a bit scary, honestly.

Try not to attack caravans or rival counts when your faction isn't at war with them. All you have to do is have patience, and you will get a war. It happened to me with the Rhodocks, and we've nearly annihilated the Sarranids and gained considerable ground with the Khergit Khanate and the Vaegirs. When the marshalls aren't being complete dumbasses, they can be scarily clever with their choices on what to attack.

Snow from Final Fantasy XIII. He's always saying that he's the "hero" and he'll protect everyone, when in reality he helped cause several problems in the game. Honestly, I understand why Hope hates him for half the game. I hated him for the entire game.

And I'm sure everyone would have been able to return to Cocoon much more easily in Chapter 12 had he not waved his arm around, yelling "AND THE HERO SAVES THE DAY!!!", putting his L'cie brand in full view for everyone to see it and scream.

Jin Kisaragi from BlazBlue is such an asshole, he doesn't deserve such an awesome theme song either.

I like Raphael. There's just something about posh europeans with a biting wit that I enjoy immensely. Maybe it's just because I'm a big fan of sarcasm and dry humor.

Anoyone in a game played by Jennifer Hale (i.e everyone).
Something about her voice makes me want to either slow down time and shoot her, bash my head against a rock until she breaks, feed her to a boomer, or throw her at the cyberdemon. Cookie for who can get all these games.
Also, everyone in Silent Hill: Homecoming is so cliche'd that It becomes to annoying.
But... but... she's my favorite voice actor ever!
That's fine, but I guess her voice just started irritating me when I was stuck on this part in Halo and she continued speaking the same bits of dialogue. Over and over and over and over and over...

HOLY CRAP!!! I completely forgot about that d-bag. I hate him with the white hot passion of a thousand exploding stars.

I also forgot my KotoR II Shit List.

Kreia - SHE'S USING YOU!!!!
GoTo - He's dicking around with your companions and will betray you
Guardian - Looks and acts like a Lawful Good Prince Charming
Vista - Crap dialog trees and crap in combat.
Mira - Mara Jade clone with emotional baggage.

I'd give them all one-way tickets on the Air Lock Express.

To be honest, Kreia's one of the reason's I still have respect for KOTOR2. You can tell that deep inside the writers were actually doing amazing things to make a compelling story. Too bad that doesn't work when the game is rushed to oblivion.

I can see your point. If written correctly she may have been pretty interesting. Unfortunately for anyone playing through on Light Side, she was clearly Sith, and your enemy. It didn't seem logical to keep her around. Had she left the party earlier, I would have felt compelled to chase her around. Instead I felt like our conflicting morals would have exploded much earlier than they did.

Definite potential though.

I believe there's a let's play of the game on the let's play archives that is very enlightening.

http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/KOTOR%202/

For the uninitiated, a let's play is like if you played a video game like you normally would, but it was recorded, or you took screenshots of the important bits. Kind of like a walkthrough, but less professional, and usually has commentary.

The entire population of lamplight caverns in fallout 3.

Thank god for mods and flamethrowers.
I went in there with the "Child At Heart" perk, so I found them all interesting and sympathetic characters with a fascinating "culture"... EXCEPT FOR PRINCESS.

So, I'll say Princess from Little Lamplight of Fallout 3. I imagine I'd hate the kids more if I wasn't always a Child at Heart.
