Caesar - Fallout: New Vegas.

How about instead of looking at things from face value and actually digging deeper? You might find he's actually a very interesting character, I don't agree with everything he believes, but he does bring up some good points.

The bitchy chick who doesn't put out, & the girly looking braindead moron in any movie. If you know what my avatar is from, then that should come as no surprise.

Master Chief from Halo, I know he's a bit of a blank character, but he works well, and at the end of the day a character should be fun. Also everyone in YuGiOh.

Vanille from FF13. I don't really understand the hate towards her :/ She doesn't have a very annoying voice, more so when compared to alot of other jrpg characters. Also she has a cool accent.

Nah, I kid... [sub]don't hurt me[/sub]

I quite like Moira Brown, and don't understand all the hate she received. The only pang of guild I got from blowing up Megaton was seeing her get ghoulified. She wasn't even angry, she actually seems obliviously happy about it. Somehow, that makes me feel worse.

"What'ya buyin? heh heh heh, thank you." My motherfucking bro, man. That blue flame was the one thing that made me feel safe to breathe in that game.
I love that pervert.

I dislike Gordon Freeman. I just find him too unrelatable.

Moira Brown. :D I just love her cheery mood. Also in a strange coincidence I like Merril... Hmm, they are kinda alike if you think about it...

But yes, I've never heard anything good about Moira Brown if it is not from myself.
I like her exept the part that wants to help me but to kill me as well...Go to the minefield, disarm some mines, radiate myself, crush my own limbs...well it is for a better cause BUT cant we do it some other way!

You're just proving my point that no one seems to pay attention to him.

That sir is true...but the man was still evil (from my view anyway), and I am good, so he had to die.

He deserved it. Try to kill me/ make me a slave will ya!

If you're nice to him and work for him he doesn't try to kill you, he only tries to kill you if you piss him off or becoem hostile to the Legion.

Also at no time does he ever try to make you a slave.

Jack from Mass Effect 2, I don't understand the hate for her, telekineticly over powered punk *****, from space! with a softer side that made me actually well up, and I'm pretty annoyed that bioware is limiting her appearance to something like one mission in ME3, while shoe horning in another bland, uninteresting, human, male character, that will most likely turn out to be the gay love interest so that bioware doesn't look homophobic. (Back on topic) I think jack is awesome and should have her own series, and comic, and action figure, and....................

He's a caricature of Caribbean archetypes, or so I'm told.

But I can understand why other people might hate his guts.
Lots of people hate him for one of two reasons:
1) His complete shuddering terror and inability to do act remind people too much of their own lack of control of their situations, or
2) Because of the fact that he whines so much with his relatively weak excuse for whining (daddy issues, missing mommy, and... what else? There've been plenty of characters that had more and better reasons to complain). Then, compounding on that is his lack of attempts to reach out of his gloom so he not only can't do anything, he never tries.

Although I do like your lab rat assessment, that got me a good chuckle.
I like him more in the Rebuild movies precisely because there is less whining. When he is in the whiny state it is more subdued and in line with his issues and then he finds something to like and goes after it like a boss because he realizes that he has the power to do so (via Eva Unit 01).
EDIT: Oops, misread that up in the quote as "can't understand" my bad.

Anyways, for my character that nobody seems to like... Well, I just tend to like the unnoticed characters on the sides. And I'm trying to think of relevant examples, but I can only really think of Yuffie at the moment- sure, a fair number of people hated her for the materia debacle, but other than that, I liked how she had a reasonable, but naive and misguided dream that went in line with the fact that she is more or less still a child- just a bit taller.

Cloud Strife : FFVII
surprise surprise (avatar)
I liked him in the game and the movie. (Yes the movie too! :D)

Raiden : Metal Gear Solid 2
Yes I said 2! :D When your entire life and mission is falling apart no matter the effort you put in, then yes, its ok to be upset. For some reason people always confuse a characters expression of feelings or any kind of frustration as being "whingy". Even if he (or any character) was whingy, whats wrong with that? I don't understand why people are so againest characters acting like actual human beings with feelings.

Tidus : He was alright, I dont get the hate for him either.

Navi : LoZOoT : I liked her, and I admit her voice didn't irritat me unless I was stuck on a level. I would usually take my anger out on her and shout back "No you listen!" XD Good times.

Navi! Poor Navi doesn't deserve any of the hate she receives. She guides Link and cautions him and aids him in battle and goes through every hardship by his side. Not to mention, I'm sure that if her glow was dimmed enough to allow one to see her clearly, she would be a stunningly beautiful, albeit tiny person. I imagine most people think that Link and Zelda are destined to be with each other, but I'm under the impression that it's Navi he truly loves. Hence the tear-jerking goodbye at the end of Ocarina of Time. Hmmm, maybe all that is just because I'm a little in love with her too...

Haha and ***spoiler alert*** above ^^^ for anyone who's still working on their first playthrough of OOT :p

EDIT: Awesome! :) seems I'm not alone in being alone! Not sure how many other people would publicly express their passionate undying love for this particular character, but I feel no shame haha
