I am 23 years old and I never had to go to see a Doctor or a hospital for anything until last year when I broke my femur. 2 days ago I broke it again (the same damn femur as well). As such I am stuck at home for some time and am bored out of my mind, so I started watching stuff I had not seen in a long time. This lead me to Heroes.

Imo after season 1 it really want down hill but in watching I have rediscovered my love for Hiro Nakamura and his best friend Ando. It is impossable not to love these guys. If they made a show that was simply called the Hiro and Ando show I would not be able to give them my movey fast enough.

Uhmmm I liked a lot of the characters in LOST, but I as the seasons drolled by I couldn't stay interested even though I still liked the characters. I don't like shows where I get the feeling they are writing it as they go. There are a lot of TV shows like that, alright characters, but the over show is just something I am not interested in watching.

Heros was an interesting show, but I agree, I think the show might have been done better in someone elses hands.

I like Lucy from Elfen Lied. She's one of two characters in that show that had some resemblance of depth and wasn't either completely useless or underused (the other being Kurama), although even she falls victim to horrible writing, and the whole Nyuu aspect kinda halts any further character development and kinda adds unnecessary sympathy for a character who quite frankly doesn't need it. Her overall character, though, I do like, and I think she deserves to be in a much better written anime.

Hexxus from Fern Gully. I wouldn't say I hate Fern Gully exactly, but a villain as cool as Hexxus deserved to be in a way better movie.

Palpatine/Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith. He's just so damn happy about being evil. In a movie plagued with wooden acting, it was a real treat watching a character display such raw, unfettered glee. The way he devoured the scenery while twirling and cackling like a madman was nothing short of glorious.

Well, I love Indiana Jones but I hate the last movie he was in. You could probably say the same thing of John McClaine/John Rambo/Alex Murphy/The Terminator/Ellen Ripley/Aliens and Predators.

In this case I'd say these were characters I used to like that got ruined in sequels.

The Indy from Crystal Skull is not the same Indy I used to know and love. Same goes for John McClane, Rambo, Ripley, and the Alien/Predator.

OT: If I like a character it'll usually stop me from disliking the movie/show, so this is kind of a paradox. For example, I wouldn't call Black Lagoon very good, but I wouldn't call it bad either because it has Balalaika, and she's a fucking badass.

Maybe the Sentinels in the Matrix sequels. Despite the movies sucking, the Sentinels are still a wonderfully threating presence.

I absolutely despised Sword Art Online, but Agil (Andrew Gilbert Mills) was a pretty cool guy. If the name doesn't right any bells, he's "The black guy who runs a shop" and was also the one who gave "Kirito" Alfheim Online in the slightly-more-tolerable second story arc.

Similarly, I got no enjoyment out of the insultingly-abysmal Highschool DxD. Though Gasper was an interesting character.

I guess Chip from Sonic Unleashed is kinda neat.

While I may not like Voyager, there's not one Trekkie alive who doesn't like the EMH.

In a series where the writers couldn't get their shit together until it was too late, the Doctor was consistently fascinating.

Got to agree - EMH from voyager was great but voyager itself not so much. I hate Wesley Crusher in TNG but love the show in general. At the risk of enraging fandoms I'm actually not a fan of David Tennant's Doctor but in general quite like Doctor Who (Tom Baker has got to be the best ever!)

I need to watch Heroes again I think, I never got much past the second season but the first was really good. Hiro was the time stop guy right? Awesome.

OT: I'm not so into Resident Evil games but fuckin' Wesker can carry everything on his own. Especially in 5.

"Complete. Global. Saturation..."

"Seven minutes... Seven minutes is all the time I can spare to play with you."

Man Capcom fucked themselves over by killing off Wesker entirely in 5. The one saving grace of the entire series just gone for good.

Also I guess Pricilla in Dark Souls in a way? In a sea of dickhead enemies and bosses who shoot to kill on sight no questions asked, Pricilla is unique in that she is really freaking nice and just lets you go on about your day.

"Oh you accidentally fell into my Painted World? Ah that sucks, sorry man. Here's the exit, hope you're alright."

And yeah I know she's not so innocent and shit once you look up an Epicnamebro video on her (or so i'm told, i've always said that if you need to look up the lore on the internet to that extent there's something wrong with the game) but whatever. She's cool as hell.

Unless you take offence to all the Bonewheel "lolololol instakill fuck your stamina" Skeletons lurking in her basement then you're within rights to just fucking shank the bint. HATE those things.

Resident Evil 6 was a tragedy. But I loved the character of Jake Muller. He was a badass main character and just overall sassy. I loved him.

Also I'll point out Karl Urban's character in Almost Human. The show sadly didn't keep me interested but I loved his character.
