Well, I'm playing "The Saboteur" at the moment, and Mr.Devlin is really getting on my tits. He just follows that rugged handsome/brown-haired/rebellious/ladies' man/quick-tempered guy with a dark past that we see so often in games. And why have all Irish people in games and films got to be portrayed as drunks with a quick temper? It's a stereotype that's 30-40 years out of date...Plus the voice actor's accent is shit.

Well, from the way you phrased the title, the first thing I thought of was Zero (from Mega Man Zero, etc.)
He has literally Zero fans.
You seriously thought that?

Honestly?

It seems unlikely that something like that would come into your head before what were actually discussing lol.

The Sorin from Dark Planet. Considering I'm probably the only one who knows that Dark Planet exists, I'm guessing anything from it is a good guess for this thread.
Also, anything from Dark Vengence. Same reason.

You're looking to get stabbed to death in a dark alley, aren't you?
Zero was my favorite Mega Man character. Period. In every incarnation he was ever in. (No, Mega Man was never from space or on the internet, those games don't exist!)
...
Unlikeable character?
Uh...
Silver the hedgehog.
Slippy.
Pigma.
Navi.
Tatl.
The Owl. (you know the one)
Headcrabs.
Medusa Heads. (Castlevania)
...
No fanbase?
The third NPC you talk to in Ultima 4. It doesn't matter who you talk to either.

It was a pun. The fans of Zero are Zero fans.
I can't believe I have to explain this.

It's a draw between Navi and Udina from Mass Effect, aka mister ass of the year.
Thom Yorke once said "People are born with certain faces, like my father was born with a face that people want to hit". Uldina has a face, voice, and attitude that makes people want to burn him alive then feed him to a Thresher Maw.

OT: The Overlord, from.. well, Overlord. He was a Sauron rip-off, moved like a cow with its legs amputated and a poker shoved through its pelvis, and he was basically the little green guys' *****.

Hmmm. Your humor fails to pierce the madness of my fanaticism, though your explanation has soothed my rage. Begone from my court.

Just to clarify, it wasn't my humor. (Although who cares?)

Sorry he has no personality and Tifa is not his girlfriend as he shows zero interest in her he is ever so sad over Aerith (ZACKS GIRLFRIEND! and Zack is an awesome character)

I say this because as much as it pains me to admit FF has a bad game... well FF7 was a bad game <.< the low point of the entire series...

and I would totally be a 90% on the Jecht manliness scale.

[sub]I loved your old avatar...[/sub]
The way I see it, characters can gain fans either by their personality or by their actions.

Regardless of how bland and overused Cloud might seem to me now, seeing him perform Omnislash for the first time when I was around 7-8 years old kind of made me a permanent fan.

OT: A character whom I think could not have any fans would have to be Paula's father in Earthbound.

Nobody likes mandriks wife!
MANKRIKS WIFE!!!!
AAAAHH!!!!
but also the owl from OoT
or fargoth from Morrowind
i loved killing him
Mankrik's wife is a big celebrity in Barrens chat..."omg where is Mankrik's wife lol".

OT: I'll go with Kaidan Alenko in Mass Effect. Never ME2 because he didn't survive that long thanks to me muahahaha! Anybody who kept him alive has to have something wrong with them...

I'm gonna say Alex Mercer from Prototype; he was written to be disliked and, if he did have any fans, they soon left after the truth was learnt, I'm guessing.
