I've never seen the point. I only cheat in single player games for fun. That's what cheats are for. But online, it takes all the fun away from you and those you play with. So no, I have never cheated online. Although I do have this friend who only plays Counter Strike with cheats. Not because he can't play, but because he consider that to be fun. He likes to piss people off and he also yells on the mic. But things he says on the mic are fun as fuck and everyone on the server eventually started to like him even though he has a wall hack. Fun guy. He's the most notorious person on some of the servers I play on.

I never cheated online, because I never knew how. But, sometimes I used cheat codes in my early years for single player games.

I've never cheated before but one time, in GOW2, I went into a match that was so ha - glitched, I had infinite ammo and everyone else couldn't move. Lag, like an online lottery, eh? *Ahem*

Anyway, I was in a COD 4 match, back when COD was still cool, and the commando perk didn't exist. It was extreemly laggy, but, as luck would have it, but my blade struck bold and true (as in, I zoomed forward a couple of paces every time I used my knife. Oh, when will my internet connection learn?).
A guy got kinda pissed off half way through. I assured him that I was as much of a victim as he was, but he accused me of hacking. THE NERVE.
I tried ignoring him, but he was persistant. The fact that I couldn't stop insta killing people against my will didn't help, and he demanded to know how I done it.
I got fed up after a while, and just told him I put a magnet sitting on my PS3. He must've been born yesterday, because he believed me. I'll always remember the crackling noise from his headset that followed. Teach him to force me to reveal my... er, lack of guiltiness.

(In all seriousness though, I felt really bad afterwards. I didn't want to break his console - I honestly didn't think he would ACTUALLY do it when I told him to put a strong magnet on his PS3).

Its because you are playing older games that aren't supported by the creators anymore, hence glitches and exploits are left to their own devices.

I completely agree that their is no fun in using a tool to help you get the job done, since the traditional way is so satisfying, I really don't understand why these people cheat, sure they are top of the score board for 5 minutes but they did it with a huge advantage, people who use aimbot and amuse themselves must feel like I did when I challenged Keiko the Orca (the killer whale from Free Willy) to a cookie baking contest, which I duly won by the way, I admit I did feel elated after dominating my opponent in the freestyle cookie batter mix (use of any ingredients permitted) round of the contest yet after that I had the slow realisation that he had a huge disadvantage because he couldn't use a fucking oven underwater.

Still, that whales a total commando whore.

Also of note lagswitchers are a particular problem on KillZone 2 now, since Guerilla Games have their hands full polishing their up coming sequel, the cleverly titled KillZone 3, they don't seem to bothered by glitchers right now.

I once used an aimbot in the Halo 1 trial because my friend (who uses them all the time) spent several days trying to convince me to beforehand. It's just not very fun.

yeah this is why i hate online games..its never positive that your really that bad or if your really that good.

i've never CHEATED persay, but i have abused glitches if needed to own other glitches, random games someone would turn on a weapon or do something and id counter them by doing it then turn it off and continue the game.

This sums up MW2 really.

One guy uses OMA Noob Tubes at the start of the game, five minutes later everyone is pissed off and switches to the same class to revenge kill eachother. Result = Call Of Duty: Explosive Warfare.

I've never cheated. [footnote]And I don't even know what an aimbot is...[/footnote]

*Edit: never cheated in multi-player (which these days just means Team Fortress 2 or Super Smash Bros Brawl). Cheating in single-player can be worth it. I still remember back in the N64 days when I played Goldeneye on the hardest difficulty. I got dominated a good bit. Then, after I beat the game, I'd load in my GameShark and turn on turbomode, all weapons, infinite ammo and bust into the levels I had trouble and say "Remember me, motherfuckers??"

Then there would be sounds of gunfire, explosions, and men reverting to infancy screaming bloody murder. Then nothing.

I cheated on Counter Strike once, but it wasn't for glory or fame, it was all for giggles =P

Me and my friend got see through wall hacks and aim for head hacks, it was funny though because we were on servers where everyone else were hacking as well so it kind of got to the point where "best hacks win". It was actually pretty fun.

Diablo 1 also was thrashed out with hacks. I got pretty pro at it actually, I actually got to the stage where I was spamming resurrect on this guy and then killing him again and he couldn't exit the game, he had to exit by alt+ctrl+delete. Was extremely fun.

I condone cheating for fun, when you are doing it for a thrill to get some nerd mad across the other side of the world, it is just fantastic. Doing it in professional gaming however... that is just sad...

Only in singleplayer.
It's fun to use the console to unlock a game's depths or just go for lol's once the game is beaten.

I've been accused of cheating in multiplayer;
"OMG d00d, Lt.Bromhead is using haxxxx!"
*Sigh* "No, commando pro + tac knife isn't hacking or cheating. Annoying, perhaps. Downright stupid, definitely. But cheating? No."

Other then the occasional moments in WoW, the only time I've glitched was when I spent a game trying to get under the level in CoD WaW on Castle, it didn't work out.

I've never cheated online. EVER. It sickens me when people do so. Like in TF2, some guy was no-clipping around and spreading fire as a Pyro. And another time with an aimbot using Heavy.

I hate it when people cheat! We must stop them! NOW! PURGE THEM WITH THE FIRE OF THEIR SINS AND MAKE THEM SUFFER FROM WRATH OF MY EVERLASTING FURY!!!

*cough cough* I mean, yeah.... I really hate them. *TWITCH*

yupp. that game is so easy to turn into rage warfare, everyone can basically have every weapon at anytime and they can hit anything across maps in which causes them to rage and they insta rape you right back with the god awful hit detection and explosions that shake the heavens above.

that is why i sold my copy a year ago, and haven't looked back since.

My power level is well over 9000. I see no need for such flim-flammery. But I DO cheat on Left for Dead 2 at the fair's finale. That glitched window you can glitch-jump into by throwing a pipe bomb at your feet and rapidly changing weapons? Hilarious.
i heard you liekz powaarrr levelz

The only cheating I've done online is that glitch in Left 4 Dead, where you switch to your pistol and melee at the same time or something, and then somehow you can fire your entire clip of ammo at once. I used it every time we encountered a Witch, but never on Versus.

I have never cheated as I feel it makes the game less fun for me. I mean I am no longer playing the cheat/aimbot/hack is.

My experiance was in a TF2 game where everytime one enemy scout would enter out intel room the game would lag like crazy, but only when he attacked our intel room. It was too consistant to be normal lag. If you are so bad at a game that you must cheat to win I feel sorry for you. I mean life must be pretty dull.
