Have to say that both are at fault and I disagree that using a glitch is fair play in a game when you are not hacking or actively changing the program to allow you to get this "unplanned" advantage. Simply put the game has its set mechanics in its set world. Glitches are holes/mistakes that have been missed by the programmers. They are not considered in the game mechanics, the programmers or the usual players. Those who find and exploit them are using something that "should not" be there to get the edge over those players who either A, dunno about it, or B, are unable to counter the glitch. In all sense, it simply is not fair play. Players who actively use glitches are the first at fault for the use of them. The programmers once aware of it should quickly get to work at rectifying it. Still the players will always be the first to blame, think of it as any sport, there are rules to be followed when playing it yet some people will actively find ways to cheat and not get caught. For example, crossing the outside lines in basketball. You can do it, just like you can use a glitch, but it's cheating. Only real difference is that in a sport you got refs who will watch over everything, call out and penalize those who cheat. In a video game, well we all know that's not the direct case. And yes of course people can report and send proof for the administrators and moderators to do something, but no one is there to directly stop it from happening. Exploiting a glitch is cheating, it gives you an unfair advantage, simple as that so I will again say, players are the first to blame. The developers once finding these glitches should do what they can as soon as they can to rectify it though.
