Nah man, they never do that with MvC games, they'll release characters as DLC. I recommend you get it, it's stupidly good fun.

but to be fair, there have only been 3 Marvel vs Capcom games (not counting X-Men vs Street Fighter). and that seems to be Capcom's business model these days:
1. release game
2. first day dlc for characters already on the disk
3. wait a year or two
4. release a SUPER version of said game wit a few extra characters and all dlc included
5. make double the money
6. repeat

I guarantee they'll announce Super Marvel vs Capcom 3 in a year or so. it will have all the current characters, plus the dlc, PLUS new ones (Peonix Wright, Venom, all the fan favorites) and will sell like hotcakes.

They do that with Street Fighter games, no argument there, but as far as I'm aware, there hasn't been different versions of MvC 1+2.

that's the point I'm making. there have been a TON of Street Fighters and only 3 MvCs. Capcom seems to gravitate towards the "put characters on the disk, charge to unlock, then release Super version for extra profit" business model lately. without a doubt, there will be a Super MvC3. the fact that they're pulling the whole "characters on the disk that need to be unlocked with cash" BS again PROVES they are passing up no opportunity to make extra cash off of this thing
