Whoops my bad accidentally submitted that too early. Any way when have you found your self liking the villain more than the main character and wanted them to win more than the main protagonist. That seems to happen to often for me when I play games or watch movies.

I really liked Brucie from GTA IV a lot. He reminded me of a guy I knew in college, so I wanted to see more of him. He wasn't really an enemy, but it's the best that I could do.

i always felt bad for Wyle E Cyote on road runner. He just wanted to eat, he lived in a desert, cut him some slack. I wanted him to eat the bird.

Same with Tom of Tom and Jerry fame. I always felt for the cat.

Not so with Speedy Gonzales, apart from being a mildly racist stereotype, I loved him as a kid. Id have screamed till I was sick if Sylvester had ever eaten him.

All the time. The joker is way more compelling than Batman. Eden, in my opinion, is just plain cooler than anyone from the Brotherhood. Bowser, again in my opinion, is cooler than Mario.

I really want SkyNet(Terminator series) to win the overall war, but I am not too sure why... Usually, though, I settle for an ambiguous outcome for the future war.

Only in the rare case the hero was so poorly portrayed that I wanted them to meet a grisly end.

For example, in your average B-flick.

Was the Empire really so bad? Social order, intense organization, neato geometric ships. Did you know Emperor Palpatine was a huge supporter of the arts?

stupid rebels.

Depends on who you consider the villain in Death Note.
Too true, although I still wanted Near to win, and lost all respect for Light with how he acted at the very end

I watched the first season of heroes with a few friends, and I really wanted a couple characters to go down in flames. (Ok all of them except for the cop, and the Japanese guy who became/becomes a samurai)

Oh and Ozymandius (Watchmen). Thought he was a genius. Same goes for Iago (Shakespeare, anyone?).

Way to spoil the ending!!!

Oh, and am I the only who thought it was weird that Iago was in 'Othello' more than Othello was?

Francis Dolarhyde from Red Dragon. Not so much rooting for him but you gotta feel for him. The guy can't help the way he is. Of the Hannibal villains his probably the most human.

Times I've rooted for the villain? Hmm...

The wingless blue dragon thing from the old Dreamstone cartoon. I hated the cartoon, but the baddie was awesome.

The Empire from Star Wars.

The Arachnid race from Starship Troopers. (Book and film)

The Zerg from Starcraft

The Tyranids from Warhammer 40,000

I'm seeing a bug theme here...
