(2nd posting since i loved the ideas of the first)

So get this. I'm executive chef of a restaurant in New Jersey and I have a sweet dinner party coming up thats fully GAMER themed (BLISS!!) i already have gamer inspired dishes but I was looking for interesting twists on words and food. I know not everyone is a chef or a random person like me but i'm looking for some input.

Here is an Example:

One Winged Angel (ff7)
- Blackened Skate wing with a Steamed Asian Rice cake and black Lava Salt.

We all have open minds in my kitchen so if it sounds insane its probably not.

But Basically we're going for things like that.

Its about forty people too!! who knew gamers loved such food :)

Let me know mates. Cheers.

If I were to go by stereotypes, then pizza.

Of course, you could always shape it like pacman!

Pastries shaped like controllers?

Some Sam Fisher jokes with the sea food?

I'll think of more later.

Gourmet Sandvich: the best sandwich you can make with +300 health
RadRoach meat: I don't know, just call it that
Mario mushrooms: just don't do the poison one

Kungaloosh for all you Mana using WoW fans out there :D

I imagine it to be something like

2x Berry (Blackberry or whatever)
1x Plum Juice
Shot of Vodka for the alcohol effect, or non for the teetotalers

I guess again on the drinks side you could have those once trendy test tubes and fill them with a red or blue beverage to symbolise Health potions or Mana potions.

Maybe you could make cakes, pastries or stuffed pasta parcels that resemble generic health packs.

Also, perhaps you should insist that people pay in Gold Coins, or that that have to go on a quest to gather the ingredients for the meal.

WE LOVE KATAMARI!: Just a big ball of whatever you can find in your kitchen.
OH! And dye it neon colors with food coloring.

Definitely make a portal cake for desert.
Also, you should make not so obscure things, make like a portobello mushroom colored with food coloring to look like a power-up mushroom. Make something into cubes and place them together in the form of tetris pieces and color them accordingly.
Make something shaped like pac-man, or the ghosts.
Is it going to be all hardcore gamers there? I don't think it would, but nonetheless commonly known things are fun and would likely be more widely recognized.

Skag Meat, for the Borderlands fans
Perhaps muffins, shaped and colored like Mario ones.

Of course he should do the poison ones, they're the most fun!
Well, this is unoriginal, but The Cake is a Lie Cake
Perhaps a hard candy crowbar

I'm fresh out for now.

As long as you make sure to call yourself 'master Chef' i think you can't go wrong.

Also might consider offering steak Duke nukem or fallout style, as in extra well done.

Go for a Fallout theme:
- dry garlic ribs as "crispy squirrel bits"
- kebabs or satay as "iguana on a stick"
etc
