I'm a female, and the only thing that makes me dislike chest hair is that it tickles/itches if I lay my head on the guys chest.
Other than that, it's just like the hair on his arms/legs.

I have however made my boyfriend trim his body hair, mainly because I don't like getting hair in my mouth... :p

As one of the manliest men among manly men of course I have an ample amount of chest hair.
Rather proud of it.

I have a very little bit of chest hair(as in I can count the individual strands) and I shave it regularly to prevent it from developing. Hair anywhere other than your head is disgusting and should be removed, in my opinion (and I mean anywhere).

Oh my god!! Is that your Shepard!? What did you do to it!?

OT: I don't have much in the way of body hair. I have a bit of facial hair, though. I don't mind body hair on other guys either. I don't see hair growth like that as weird or gross. I see it like something as natural as head hair since almost all men have at least a very tiny bit of body hair. Now if your a girl then chest hair is a bit... different. Should probably shave that.

I have an abundance, naturally in the shape of a bunny rabbit (apparently) and the ladies seem to love it.

I think guys look better without, but whatever.

During my days as a teenage twinky-boy, I wasn't a big fan of the chest hair. Found it kinda repulsive, and was glad I didn't have any; but once I grew older, it kinda started to grow on me, literally.

Now, I love my chest hair. It's just right for me, gives me an edge of masculinity to combat my complete inability to grow respectable facial hair and under 6-foot stature. Furthermore, it's totally attractive on other people (their own, not mine). I'm not as much into the 'bear' look, but the 'otter' look (which is where I sit, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_(gay_culture)#Terminology ) totally does it for me.

At this point, the tables have turned, and I'm kinda thrown off by guys who *don't* have chest hair. It's pretty much a requirement for me to find someone attractive. Being a guy who likes guys, I'm assaulted on all sides by dudes who shave it all off religiously, and I'm not sure why. But with all the guys, gay, straight, and undecided, manscaping every last patch on their bodies, who knows why anyone does it? Not me, and if you don't do it either, then respect to you, my brothers who are comfortable in their own bodies.

My chest hair hovers around about in this area

So I have a sizable amount and have had it since I was about 14-15 or so. Outside of the fact that its extra insulation on a body that has a nasty tendency to overheat constantly I rather like the the look and feel of it. But the sweat it helps to induce makes it unbearable. Outside of the sweat, its awesome.

However I wont shave it, unless it grows in improper places like shoulders and upper arms. Oh and the one time I shaved the inverse of this
Holy crap! I planned on doing this exact thing of shaving the crest o' hair that I have into a Batman symbol. How did you do it? D :
Well for the record that is not a pic of me. I just used it as a reference as well as to use the "I am the goddamned batman" meme. Its been years since I did it and when I did it I did the inverse of it (IE: The shaved part was the logo) I used the more traditional/symmetrical "yellow" emblem design where as it appears this guy used the Arkham asylum design. As for cutting it out, wasnt really all that hard because it was inverted and it allowed to essentially cut the image out. (though if you really need help you could get a dark erasable fat head non toxic marker and draw it on in advance, then cut the lines.

This guys method seems a lot more difficult because your invariably going to end up with it being not perfectly symetrical, much like he did.

Anyway... its not as cool as you might think.. And if you do it.. Make certain to make it higher than what this guy did or else you end up looking like Bruce wayne from Batman beyond donning the suit at age 70 with the emblem all sagging from where it is supposed to be.

21 and I wax my chest. Better to show off my MASSIVE PECTORIALS.

But seriously, most women prefer body hair is trimmed, and I actually find trimming more of a hassel than waxing.
The smooth look has grown on me

Manscaping dude.

First off, if you're not cut and tan, you'll end up looking like a little boy if you shave your chest hair.

Secondly, if you're going to do anything, manscaping is the way to go.
Get an electric beard trimmer and put it about 3 or 4 and first shave the pits snd then go for the groin and balls area.
You'll still have hair in those places and therefore look like a guy, but your cock will look p0rn0 huge and your deodorant will actually hit your pits instead of your hair.
If your balls sweat a lot, baby powder after you shower, it really helps.
Also, trim the belly button hair on 3 or 4 and you won't get all that belly button lint.

NOW, if you're going to do your chest, try it on 3 or 4 first.

Also, if you feel the need to get your ass crack hair, disposable razors are the way to go.

End Manscaping 101.

I LOVE chest hair. When I snuggle up to fall asleep I love running my fingers thru it. It's comforting

I am blessed with plenty of chest hair. Or cursed, depending on your point of view. I also refuse to shave it off, my ex-girlfriend tried and failed to make me.
Her asking you to shave it is a crime!

I have a luscious forest of growth upon my own chest (and the rest of my body), and I've got nothing but positive results! I get called Sasquatch playfully by my family, but my fiance thinks that it's a huge turn on.

My husband doesn't have 'a lot' of chest hair, and that doesn't bother me. Would it bother me if he did have a lot more? No. Would I 'force' him to shave it? No. He also has NO back hair. Naturally smooth. All the hair he has seems to grow on his face. He can grow a gorgeous beard, which I love - and grow out his brown wavy hair. Since I happen to really like beards and longer hair on a guy, this pleases me immensely.

As the living inccarnation of Zangief let me tell you that chest hair is what makes a man a man.

The response I've always received from women is that if they wanted to date a boy they would do so (meaning no hair).

Now back hair. That's a whole different animal. I'd get that taken care of in case you have it.
This guy knows his shit.

My chest hair's coming in for sure. Which is fair enough. As for women, the best opinion I can voice is that I was having a conversation with a lady friend about why men always have no chest hair in media now. Anyway, she has a crush on Hugh Jackman, so that was reassuring.

I don't have any! and if I did!, I'd shave it off in a heartbeat. As I have said in many threads... I am no fan of body hair. I like keep my body hair free.

Hair is alright on the top of my head! And maybe a bit on my chin... No where else.

I don't have any and I've always counted myself as lucky because of it. But really that is just my personal preference I don't think some people disliking chest hair is a reason to remove your own....

as a female i tend to prefer my men to have hair on their chests. Not a lot mind you. I don't want to be reminded of a bear but enough that I can run my hands through it

for me, this is a good amount i can deal with guys who don't have quite as much or none at all just a preference

This is too much in my opinion. And anything more than this is waaay too much
