Original Huffington Post Article said:
A major federal investigation has found that dozens of military officials and defense contractors, including some with top-level security clearances, allegedly bought and downloaded child pornography on private or government computers.
Military officials and defense contractors, you say? Hmm. I suppose if you're in charge of coordinating or selling the tools of warfare, being caught with child porn probably strikes you as a trite worry.

............................................................................
............................................................................
............................................................................These five thousand people that got busted from this are the very same people that are in charge of the military? The US military? And this has been going on for ten fucking years completely undetected?

Where in the name of the mighty N. Tesla are these bloody tax dollars we spend on the FBI going? Mass-Hummer convoys going across the desert with all fuel-guzzling utilities active?

EDIT:
The Article said:
Many of those who were caught with the child porn were convicted and served prison terms as well as paid fines. However, some of those who were identified were not prosecuted.
Liberty and justice for all my ass.

Don't bother quoting me unless you are up for conversation and can type more than two sentences at a time. None of this "lol u suk" shit.

At least one of the cases where they weren't prosecuted stems from guy croaking before he could be charged. Now, if only the other 4999 cases were the same...

The absolute batshit scary thing here is that porn sites love to dump viruses on systems. Now, I know it's not all porn sites, but, seriously, these guys compromised fucking Pentagon computers.

Another fucked up bit that caught my attention and bile came from another article [http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/23/pentagon-child-porn-scand_n_656839.html?ref=twitter].
The Huffington Post said:
Because none of the children in the images could be identified, as required for prosecution through the Federal system, the U.S. Attorney's Office declined to take action.
Okay, seriously, they declined to prosecute because they couldn't identify the children in the photos? What the fuck? Those other guys didn't get off the hook because they weren't perverts, or because they died. They got off the hook because the children in these photos couldn't be identified. And these people are still at the core of our nation's defense, secure in the knowledge that nothing can impeach their position so long as they only download pictures of kids they don't know.

Okay, I think that's vented my bile enough... I hope... god, I want to vomit.

The most depressing thing is that these people still have their jobs. Why do the children have to be ID'd? This is just vile bullshit. Thanks America, for proving that if you have sufficient rank and influence, you're immune to laws. Just like actors go in and out of prison and none of their charges are ever taken seriously.
