Honestly can't remember, not sure if I ever focussed on a celebrity. Sure I've had my non-celebrity crushes but I don't see what good it could do telling that here.

Never had a crush on a celebrity...the characters they play in films and tv though? Yeah I've had a couple of them. Also fictional characters, the very first person (character) I remember having a crush on was Merlock from Flint the Time Detective when I was around 7...I look back and ask myself why XD

I remember my first proper crush being on a guy in my science class in year 8...I felt strongly about him for three years, during which one of my friends thought it was a good idea to ask him out for me after which his friends relentlessly bullied me. I hence find it quite understandable that I primarily fancy fictional characters.

Thank you, sirs. My endeavor now has the backing of The Internets, I CANNOT FAIL!
that's the spirit bro! go forth with our blessings and turn that girl into your woman! (and yourself into her man)

OP: i had a crush on a cute girl named Araya in my grade 7 class, she was short and sweet. (literally, she was half my height and the nicest person ever) her and I were good friends (but not friend zoned'd) and i was going to ask her out after 2 months of getting to know her, but my mum decided that we needed to move away! my life had been turned upside down at the news but i eventually got over it and moved on.

I caught up with araya earlier this year, she grew into probably the most beautiful girl i have ever seen, but unfortunately she's dating a chochke' now and he's trying to get her into hard drugs. I told her about my middle school crush on her and that i think her guy seemed like a loser and that i hope she would choose to dump his ass and start surrounding herself with less toxic people. she chose to view my concern for her as entirely petty jealousy and told me off for it. i know that i am jealous of that jerks relationship with her despite the fact that i think he's scum, but i also don't like the idea of a friend going down the path of substance abuse. I haven't heard from her in months and i doubt she'd ever want to talk to me again. It's a sad turn of events but it's her life and she has every right to make the decisions that I view as mistakes.

Personally, I was always more of a Taranee fan.
Taranee, huh?
Never liked her. She was down there with Irma.

Elyon though. There's an actual contender for Will. If it wasn't for the fact that Will was introduced first, I might not have ended up with a weak spot for redheads. I wonder how different I would've been today if that was the case.

I liked Elyon, but not that way. Hay Lin, though, I would have dated quicker than you can say Jack Robinson.

I actually find the whole having a crush on a video game/animated character be more reasonable than celebrities, what you see isn't what you get most of the time.

I'm at the age where all the girls of the same age as you settle in for all the douchebags instead of the more mature type. Meh, I can't really get a crush on the party type, which makes up the majority of girls in my year.

In the non-celebrity category, I've had a crush on this girl(who's sitting 4 feet away from me, since she lives with me...in my room...and sleeps next to me) for 14 years:

She's one of my best friends. She moved in with me in November.
Not seeing each other very often over the years has kept my feelings at a manageable "just a middle school crush" level....but seeing her every day..... I've tried like crazy to keep myself from thinking of her as more than a friend but.....nope. It's been amped up to 11 now and moved right on past the "crush" level.

I think I'm going to see what she thinks of the idea of us being more than just friends.
I'm deadly aware of the dangers of the friendzone and all too aware that I may very well be stuck in her's.

*puts on safety goggles*

Wish me luck fellow Escapists.
Wish me all of the luck.
Good on you, mate.

I doubt you people were this insightful and critical of the popularity of celebrities when you were EIGHT YEARS OLD.

Childhood Crush? Jet from Gladiators. Only reason to watch the show (and I will have words outside with anyone who says otherwise)

What does she do now? She's actually a psychiatrist, who works in my general area of the country. Not sure that'd be such a good idea that...

My childhood crush was Sherlock Holmes...I was a bit odd, rather bookish.
Hahaha. Nice to know more people than me had a crush on a fictional character from a novel. Awesome fictional characters.

Possibly Sora from digimon. I don't remember any celebrity crushes. Just a bunch of animated characters.

Escapists, who is/are your childhood crush?
and how does he/she look today?
Celeb crushes, I take it, since you aren't going to know about the girl I had a huge crush on in Elementary school. Ahem anyway.

Sean Connery. And not young "James Bond" Connery - "the Hunt for Red October" Connery. Yeah. Thought I had a thing for older men for a while. Nope, just Red October era Sean Connery. He's... yeah, not so appealing anymore.

Also, Sarah Sutton [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyssa_(Doctor_Who)]. She actually looks pretty good at 50. If she was gay... I still wouldn't have a chance with her, cause she's a British actress and I'm an American English teacher, but hey, a girl can dream, right?

Trish Stratus. I remember how my friends and I would discuss who the most attractive WWE Diva was during the last two years of primary school. Also, Marina Sirtis (she portrayed Deanna Troi in The Next Generation).

Awesome. If she knew about rage faces I'd be sorely tempted to show her that(probably a terrible idea XD).
But again, thanks folks. Really.

I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Hm.
I'm rather divided on Hay Lin. On one hand, I liked her quirky personality, but on the other: she's so... spindly.

Out of curiosity; how do you like Cornelia?
