But seriously, governments are becoming more like 'The Party' in 1984. We discussed this in our History class, saying that security cameras and the like aren't really for saftey, they're to keep an eye on us.

China's system is already like Orwell's 1984, if u break down the different powers / sections of the CPC there already is divisions set aside for spying on people. i think its like neighborhood watch... but that may be wrong (no, its not like the vigilante group in the US)
Our school is like a freaking dictatorship. First there's the god-awful vertical tutoring where all students are mixed up in a feeble attempt to get us all to like each other; then there's the propaganda theatre known as 'Royds Hall TV' (you can find it on YouTube, for some strange reason). I would love to see Hacking Community (basically every hacker in existance) vs a Government. That would almost be beautiful.
