Chinese father bites off son's penis

"Doctors in Shenzhen, China have reattached a 6-year-old boy's penis after his father bit it off, the Shanghai Daily reports.
According to the paper, witnesses said the 32-year-old father was walking with his naked son and 4-year-old daughter on the street Thursday when he commanded the boy to bite his penis.
When the boy refused, the man attacked him.
Horrified passersby subdued the man, forced him to spit out his son's penis, and called the police, China Buzz reports.
The boy's reattachment surgery was successful, but it is too early to tell whether he will have normal use of the appendage. The Shanghai Daily reports that relatives will care for the boy's sister.
Cops say the father is likely to have a mental illness -- he was recently seen pretending to strangle his son on their balcony, according to witnesses. Police also found that the man, who was only identified by the surname Yu, was severely in debt after a failed business venture and was often seen gambling."

I love how they say "likely to have a mental illness". I'm not a psychiatrist and I can diagnose him as being mentally messed up.

Jesus Christ monkey balls, that shit is fucked up. But why weren't child protective services involved when he pretended to strangle his kid on the balcony? Sounds like there may have been some pretty extensive abuse before then. Why wasn't it reported? Where was the mother? Or the rest of the family at that.

OT: Wow, lots of terrible child massacring going on lately. Here in Britain we had this African kid sent over to live with his older sister and her boyfriend to keep them safe. They ended up torturing him to death with screwdrivers and whatnot, accusing him of witchcraft and being possessed.

Biting something off like that would be really hard. Of course a four year is not packing heat, it just break off. Very hard to bite off someones finger unless they just sit there and let you do it. I don't care that the penis is more soft and spongey, it would be just to paniful to not react.

Not an expert on this, but wouldn't the normal reaction be to pull away?

When someone has their teeth clamped onto your penis, that might not be helpful.
