I was watching the Apprentice Final the other day and they had to do a whole branding thing for a new box of chocolates, and when they were out doing their market research it was suggested that men do not like chocolate really.

Now to me that's insane. I love chocolate, when it comes to desserts I would always pick something that was mainly chocolate over anything else, and with sweets I would most of the time pick something which involved chocolate over non-chocolate sweets. I especially like dark chocolate (favourite's 70%), and my sister even bought me some 100% chocolate, which while nice was not particularly enjoyable, you start to lose the actual chocolate taste.

So, my question to you, is do you like chocolate? And would chocolate be your first choice of dessert/sweet or is it just a thing to have every now and again?

And as a secondary question, for Americans mainly, do you think that Hershey's chocolate is better than European chocolate (i.e. Cadburys, Nestle, Bournville, Lindt etc.)? It seems from my limited experience that most Americans do prefer European chocolate, but I know some that do prefer Hersheys.

And can anyone explain why Hershey's are incapable of making nicer tasting chocolate. I mean surely it can't be that difficult, considering the many different brands you can get in Europe that all taste slightly different but all nice. I went over to America in about 2000, and I've also been brought back some a couple of times when my Mum's gone over, and it's alright but I wouldn't really want it often.

Seriously though I do love chocolate. Especially chocolate digestives. One of the more godly combinations.

Lindt actually gives me orgasms.

I think I'll add that to the small list of things that I do not hate.

I dunno. I think that chocolate is equal to other forms of sweets. I'd have both for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Yeah, I like chocolate...
But it's not my first choice.
I prefer vanilla and other flavours over it.

But generally I don't like sweet stuff that much, I prefer salty.

Since I'm a European and never tried American chocolate, I can't really respond to your other questions.

Plain chocolate is something I'm not found of, but stuff like chocolate dipped that just have chocolate with them are awesome.

I do like chocolate, but only sometimes. Every once in a while, i get kinda of a craving for it, but nothin crazy. Not the way that women do. Maybe its because our hormones are more in check or something.

CHOCOLATE!
Did someone say chocolate?
Never ask a woman if she likes chocolate.

When ordering dessert, I usually get something like strawberry cheesecake, because I find chocolate muffins, cake etc too sickly. Bleurgh.

I'm male and I love chocolate.

Lindt is the best one for me, although I quite enjoyed the Icelandic Noi Sirius brand (yes, from the famous Icelandic cocoa fields).

Only dark chocolate (40% to 100% cocoa solids).

Everything else is only chocolate flavored.
