I'm like two miles away from a high-end chocolatier. They specialize in dark chocolate, and make great stuff.
When I'm there, I usually get iced or hot chocolate, and at home, I like bars, usually in the 75-85% range.

Gotta' be careful with consumption, though. Darn caffeine sensitivity.

Haven't had any in months though. Fucking diet. When I get off this thing I'm going to eat nothing but pizza, chocolate and donuts for a week.
Ehmm..wouldn't that put the weight right back on? :p Structurally changing eating habits usually work better as it's something you can actually maintain. No harm eating something you like in moderation. 'Moderation' being key here. :p
I figure I won't be able to undo all that much hard work in just one week. My metabolism is very stable. I neither gain nor lose weight quickly.

Once I've got that out of my system (or rather, into my system) I'll go to something much more moderate and long term than my current hungry-every-hour-of-the-damn-day mode.

Even if your metabolism is such that you won't gain much weight from it, the lack of nutrition would wreck your body.
Maybe it's the "over-30" talking, but eating pizza and donuts instead of regular food just wrecks me.
Though dark chocolate is pretty healthy, all things considered. Healthy fats, antioxidants, and low sugar. And if you're a regular person who can handle their caffeine, even better.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: I love chocolate in all forms. I guess if I absolutely need to be picky, I prefer dark over milk and hollow Easter bunnies over solid, but I'll still eat a Hersey's bar provided there's no better alternative within easy grasp.

Recently, I tried spicy chocolate, that was really interesting.
Yes, it is surprisingly not bad. Also worth trying is chocolate that has a little bit of Anglesea sea salt in it. Unusual but rather nice, particularly from Green & Blacks.

I think I've had chocolate with sea salt in it before, but.... I could use a reminder, because yeah, that's the reason.

I love Milky Way.

The chocolate, nougat, and caramel are the perfect blend of a smooth, chocolate treat. It lakes peanuts (like Snickers) because I distinctly dislike peanuts AND chocolate; it also it adds caramel to prevent it from being too stale (like 3 Musketeers).

The only thing better than a classic Milky Way is a Milky Way Midnight, which replaces the milk chocolate with dark chocolate, and the regular nougat with white nougat.

Dark chocolate is my favourite but Bonville suck ass! It's nowhere near dark compared to what it was 10 years ago!

Other than Dark chocolate, I do like lindt and other chocolate related bars like toffee crip, kik tak and etc except for mars.

I never saw the appeal of those kinds of chocolate. Tried them, didn't care for them a bit.

I actually just straight up do NOT like Hershey's chocolate bars. They have a weird taste to them that I can't stand.
They do taste strange, like some sort of flavoring additive. Nothing unusual in their ingredient list. At least they taste like chocolate, though. Nestle milk chocolate is virtually flavorless.

THERE ARE LINDT STORES? Where is this magic? ...Apparently there's one near Disneyland. Hmm. Kind of a drive.

Good stuff, in general. They have some amazingly creamy milk chocolates. My mom loves Belgian dark (something like 90%) - it's good, but not really my thing. Not always easy to acquire here in Southern California, but they have a few at Trader Joe's.

American chocolate companies, Hershey's included, tend to sour their milk so that it lasts longer on shelves. This has the unfortunate side-effect of making it taste like a brick made of ground Tupperware, vomit and discarded abortion. It sucks, in short, like their beer.

After Kraft launched its hostile takeover of Cadburys, the once-proud company began producing chocolate bars with a taste reminiscent of original sin. They have since gone to Hades, thanks to corner-cutting (literally in the case of their chocolate bars), stripping out ingredients for cheap substitutes and denying any change, reduced sizes (but not prices), hideous aberrations like mixing Dairy Milk with Ritz or Philadelphia cream cheese, and a string of dishonest statements from a company presumably used to the ease of lying to a customer base of simple children.

*Sigh*...Anyway...at least Europe still produces good chocolate. With the exception of Poland, which produces chocolate for Cadbury.

It seems like the old adage, "Once you go black, you never go back", works for everything food that has a darker variation.

Black coffee>other coffee
Dark Chocolate>sweeter chocolate

Milk chocolate just does not taste as good to me anymore. There is just so much sugar in it, it is overpowering. Dark chocolate that is 75-90% is really good. 100% dark is too much though, only good for baking. That shit is crazy bitter, haha. Like, BAM!

Oh they're magic alright. The one we frequented was right in the middle of town in Zurich. There are a few in Australia, so I'm sure other countries have them as well. They usually have a huge drum chocolate mixer which fills the place up with the most heavenly of aromas. A lot of people just queue up there for a mixed box of the world-famous macaroons.

The one in Zurich is actually across the Lindt cafe, where you can get breakfast and the most ridiculously crafted cakes and pastries. Sorry, words are hard to describe these, especially the hot chocolate. It has a view overlooking the tram station and main city square. Yes, it's not cheap, but nothing in Switzerland really is, so if you ever do happen to be in the side of the world, breakfast at Lindt is a must! (btw, in Switzerland it's known as Sprungli, although the chocolate sold in stores in still called Lindt)

Actually, I've found that Chocolate Story makes a good 100% bar. A guy selling chocolate at a book fair told me it was worth checking out, and when I politely declined the offer, he opened a packet and let me try a piece. I was sold, and bought a bar.

Oh, interesting, I've heard of Sprungli, I didn't know of the connection. I've been to Switzerland once, spent a week in Lauterbrunnen, would like to go back some time. I'll try to keep that in mind.

I am intrigued. Where are you from? I haven't stumbled upon that brand in Canada, I don't think. I will start to look!

Chocolate covered espresso beans are where it's at. I have to be very careful eating them, though. I can get to vibrating pretty hard.
