Paranoid album from Black Sabbath, and I would play War Pigs at the end because it's long, awesome and also has a message.

It'd be a hard choice. Either...

Unia by Sonata Arctica

Venus Doom by HIM

Once by Nightwish

First Temple by Closure in Moscow

or

Broken Bride by Ludo

Any of those would suffice really.

Hmm, tough question. Possibly Warriors of the World by Manowar. It has most bases covered.

Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory by Dream Theater.

If I was on my deathbed listening to it, there would be no way to avoid crying, especially at "The Spirit Carries On".
That album is pretty hard to top. It was sort of my first real exposure to Dream Theater too.

I'd also maybe have the world listen to Stanton Moore's "III" album. Beautiful jazz with a poignant finale of three songs about the Katrina disaster. Amazing album.

Hospice if I'm dying from cancer. Selected Ambient Works Vol.2 for everything else. It's two and a half hours long so that would give me some time to come to accept the end of my life with relaxing music. Forty minutes is nowhere near enough time to calm down knowing that I'm at death's door.

Or if I wanted to welcome death by the end of it all, the Merzbox: 50 hours of ear-piercing noise that would probably have me trying to off myself before it finishes up.

You are about to die. In your dying breaths, you are given the chance by a mystical monkey ninja wizard to have the world listen to one album. It can be any album from any genre or artist. What album would you choose to impart on the world as your last breath?

Me? I'm gonna have to go with '..And Justice for All' by Metallica. Now, I actually prefer 'Master' or 'Lightning', but I feel like 'Justice' has a more of a message that I'd like the world to hear.

Anyway, what album do you choose?
Battles-Mirrored, for sure. So thought provoking and some it is a throwback to Pink Floyd's earlier stuff.
