For an eternal love interest, I'd go with Fang from FFXIII because she's beautiful and she can hold her own so I wouldn't have to worry about protecting her for all eternity.

For an eternal friend, I'd go with Goku because he'd always have my back and he could teach me a few things over the centuries.

Of course, I'd definitely rather the love interest over the friend.
