Garrus Vakarian, my ultimate bromance.
I hope you like to calibrate guns. ENDLESSLY.

I myself would choose HK-47 (Assuming he's under my control). It's loyal, skilled, deadly and can speak every language. If he's not under my control I would choose The Wise One from Golden Sun. He's a sentient big rock with one large eye who has ultimate magical abilities, what's not to love?

Consider this:
You get transported to about 3000BC. As far as ageing goes, you can't die and are hellishly difficult to kill with any normal means, though not impossible. You do not get hungry or thirsty, though you can still enjoy drinking and eating. You also have the means to protect yourself eg awesome ninja skills, and can speak in tongues.
As far as you know, you simply have to observe the human race as it grows from the very first cities in Mesopotamia up to however far into the future you can bear.
You can pick one character to be your companion on this epic journey.
Who do you pick?

I would probably pick Bastila from KotOR, simply because I think she's a brilliant character, has enough character flaws stay interesting, and is female.

Captcha - Always There - How does it do that?
Firstly, the oldest cities in Mesopotamia are a lot older than 3000BC. They were older than 10,000BC

As to your question, does it have to be a character, or can it be a person I know in real life. Cuz if it can, it's gonna be one of my friends. If it has to be a character, can it be a character from a book, cuz then I'm going with Elmindreda(Min) from Wheel of Time. If it has to be a character from a game, then I would probably go with Ayame, from Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, or maybe Samus, or maybe the Master Chief.
Although the oldest cities do indeed stretch back further, Byblos going back to 5000BC as an actual city, other civilizations such as Egypt started to come into prominence about 5000BC. An I really do't fancy spending millennia in a single Mesopotamian city.

Either HK-47 (him killing humans will amuse me for a while) or C.C from Code Geass since she's immortal she would show me the ropes.

Probably Tali from Mass Effect. Or Garrett from the Thief series. Though that would probably be like "Where'd my pants go?"

I know, everyone seems to hate her, but she is exactly the kind of person I look for. Not the genetically engineered to be perfect part, but the intelligence, slight sense of humor, and gradual romance are awesome
This. Completely agree with you. Also fun fact, my captcha is: carbon copy. That is really really strange.

Kratos. Anything that gets in our way would be utterly obliberated. With some support from me, he won't keep going back to Hell, either.

Red From Pokemon, complete with all 151 pokemon, with both male and female of each type... what? it's a completely valid choice.
edit: or if i had to choose just one... Mewtwo or Abra for teleporting and psychicness

Probably Tali from Mass Effect if she were transformed into a Human for the sake of blending in and not being murdered for being a Witch or whatever the people of the past would call her.

Reasons: Seems to know how to handle herself, is relatable, intelligent, and a possible love interest. (Because it would suck living forever and having the person you love dying on you)

If the Human transformation isn't an option then i'd have to go with Alyx Vance for pretty much the same reasons.

Kainé from Nier because DAT ASS.

Plus she's an awesome fighter.
She maybe not actually a "She", so be careful about that one.

As for me, I would choose The Doctor... Wait has to be VIDEOGAME Characters...
*Looks on google about Doctor Who games* Oh there is... So The Doctor them...
I guess thats not cheating.
Took someone long enough to know this.

Seriously guys, play more Nier >_>.

Samus Aran. She wouldn't talk enough to be annyoing, but when she did it would likely be a good, thoughtful conversation. Then you also have the female companionship and the fact that she's a damn good combatant, just in case. And no, I'm not taking Other M into account with this. Just... no.
I agree with that.
