Excellent review, a very enjoyable read. The commas were an issue, but as others have said; it can be easily rectified. The overall feel of the review kept me entertained and informed throughout, and had I not played GoW before - I'd be interested in doing so now.
I agree with the vast majority of the points you made, and have also found myself not picking it back up since completing the campaign mode.

I don't know if I'm in the minority here or not, but I couldn't stand the MP in this game. To me it just felt like a drunken after thought. It didn't seem to flow or continue to entice me to play. As you said in your review, it just seemed to turn into a rush for the sniper rifle. Although having said that I guess you could say any FPS game turns into a one weapon fest. CSS for example, *looks at the AWP.*

Hope to see another review by you soon mate, I'll definitely give it a read. Good job.

Yes, very good reveiw, this game does have some very obvious good and bad points, and overall it is good to reveiw. You have mentioned a number of important issues aswell as praising the games areas if success.

Unfortunately, though your reveiw was enjoyable and well written, it cant be read without the reader making ajustments in their own mind about it.

For example, "In fact, prior to playing Gears of War, my heart was set on the Playstation 3 as my eventual, 'next-gen' console purchase, due to my previous warm feelings about the PS2 and the inclusion of the Blu-Ray Optical Drive. The pivotal even happened back in, around September, shortly after my purchase of my new Sharp 37", 1080p television. I had been playing, but was by no means engrossed by, the Nintendo Wii's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The game was fun, had good controls, but for, some reason, wasn't holding my interest. My younger brother then came down to visit, bringing his shining, new, 360, with a few games."

This paragraph is a very well written peice of text, although the reader is constantly stopping and needing to read over it again because of the commas! Most of them are un-necessary. However, I would say that I would like to see more reveiws from you. I am new to these forums so if you have made any other reveiws I will look for them now. Good job :)

I've never play GoW and I probably won't because I tend to avoid games that are dark, gritty, violent and bloody. Especially ones where the blood specular maps reflect black instead of light sources.
