He didn't try to do it incongnito for any other reason than to make people think he wasn't doing it for the publicity. An actor that big CAN'T be incognito and he knows that.chadachada123 said:Since he tried to do this incognito, I give massive props to him. I do wish that more actors would be selfless towards the public.
He didn't exactly have much of a choice though. If he made a huge deal out of it and took a dozen photographers in with him, everyone would have critisised him for only wanting the publicity. He would have known the news would get out either way so he just chose the better option.Instant K4rma said:Gotta admit, I have to give props to Mr. Bale. Entered the hospital "in secret", didn't want to make a big publicity thing out of it

I loved this story, it made me smile, something hard to come by these days. Mr. Bale, I politely salute you. It's not like it reverses the tragedy, but i'm sure it brightened some people's days at least a little bit. What more could they possibly need right now but a little bit of unexpected kindness?
To be fair, his Batman voice was fine in Batman Begins. Then, for some reason, he made it overly gruff in The Dark Knight. But I think he's really good as both Bruce Wayne and Batman, and made me both like and believe in the humanity of the character. The previous actors just felt like they were a guy playing Batman, rather than actually Batman himself. I didn't get the same feeling from Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer or George Clooney that I did in Christian Bale.TizzytheTormentor said:Good on him, still doesn't stop the fact that he is a lame Batman.
EDIT: I find it hard not to laugh when he overacts Batman, he just growls words at people.
I couldn't even take the scene in Dark Knight Rises seriously when...
When he was roaring at Bane for the trigger, good lord, I had to hold my laugh in. He may as well have been screaming "I'M ACTING!?"
