I like how many people think I'm being serious about my festive joy. :p

I saw a business putting up Christmas trees right now so I decided to use it as an excuse to share the pain with Jingle Cats.

I think you're missing a very important one.

Seriously, it fits the thread far too well to omit.

Well, at least that's what the retail stores around here are saying. A lot of Christmas trees have been popping up in my area so I think that's reason enough to start thinking about the coming holidays! Let's get festive up in here! Cheer up everyone!

[HEADING=1]LET'S CELEBRATE!!!!![/HEADING]

So, what's on your Christmas wishlist?

I want my student loans to come through but if I wanted something material, it would probably be a fluid-head tripod or a speedbooster for my GH3.

Your turn!

Spread that Christmas Spirit! :3
My Christmas wishlist is already in my Steam library. Imma play all the games I already have and be thankful for them, save some money, and not buy anything else for a few months! Time to fling some Kerbals into orbit! -:D

My rant was half in jest, half in seriousness. It's just one of those things that has gotten under my skin over the years. Last year was a tipping point when stores here in the U.S. started forcing their workers into working at least half days on Thanksgiving Day in order to be open "extra early" for the Black Friday sales. I think my blood pressure shot up enough at that point that I came close to giving myself a stroke.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to pull up my favorite Christmas carols of all time.

Come on, guys... it's not even Thanksgiving yet. It's not even Canadian Thanksgiving yet.
Tell THAT to Canadian Tire. They sponsored this thread.
Did they sponsor it using that fake money they print?

I'm going to be incredibly dull here and say money. Right now I'm really branching out into other game genre's I haven't tried before extensively, such as Wasteland 2.

That and I'm very particular about what comic books I read.

Nothing. I don't want anything else. I spent too much on steam sales over the past 1.5 years. I just want to spend time with my family, give back to the community, absolve all greed... ah, who am I kidding?

Far Cry 4 looks interesting, definitely Smash Bros, Hotline Miami 2 and I'll check out Nuclear Throne. I'll be saving the Binding of Isaac remake for winter (seems fitting).

Wait Christmas? We haven't even gotten to Halloween yet! Yeesh, I thought people jumped the gun when they started talking about Christmas before Thanksgiving in the states. Can we at least get our spooky scary business out of the way before we move onto our jolly olly business? Or at the very least can we watch the nightmare before Christmas?

As for what's on my wishlist, I can't really say. I'd like to say a PS4, but the two games I really really want for it, Bloodborne and Persona 5, don't come out till after Christmas. I guess I'll just take the coward's way out and say the PS4 anyway.

[HEADING=1]I WANT A SECOND HALLOWEEN!!!![/HEADING]

I love costumes and candy. Red suits, black boots, and sexy elfs aren't gonna cut it for me.

More creepy make-up, more aching teeth, more late-night siestas! Give me more eerie music, fog machines, clacking skeletons, unsettling scarecrows, decrepit wagon-drivers, nondescript shadows over a moonlit lake in the dead of night.

Failing that, I'll take a bag of themed peeps.

I'm a very in-the-moment type of guy.

My Christmas wishlist is pretty empty this year, maybe a WiiU with MK8 and/or the new Smash Bros., but beyond that, I really don't want anything specific.

Quite ironic, I don't know if it's custom in other parts of the world, but I clearly remember watching that movie for the first time on TV, in christmas eve. Seriously, it felt so wierd and yet so awesome to watch that for the first time in december 24th, since then, I've never seen that film aired around christmas eve, but yeah, that time was delightfully special.

Wow, a lot of WiiU love this year. Nintendo will be having a merry christman.

As for me, I would love a Ps4. The problem, then, is whether I want to save up for The Witcher, Alien Isolation, or Bloodborne.

Oh, who am I kidding, it'll be bloodborne.

Probably just ask for moniez. I prefer getting money so I can by things that I actually want, rather than a bunch of small things I don't really have a need for.

I really hope I'm left alone so I can focus on not being angry because Christmas makes me want to punch people, I think last year I avoided it by walking along the train tracks for 5 hours and then getting a cab back home, I really don't know why but I fucking hate Christmas so much.

Well, I was going to start my Peanuts mega-marathon early this year... So, there's that...

Anyway, here's my [Christmas/birthday[footnote]My birthday's on November 29, so both my birthday and Christmas list overlap harder than a knitted double-stitched sweater every year, anyway...[/footnote]] wishlist:
Wii U (hopefully bundled with Smash Bros.)
3DS XL Persona Q Edition*
Complete series of Michiko & Hatchin (Blu-Ray)
Complete series of FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (with OVA)*
Complete series of Black Lagoon (with OVA)*
Blu-Ray of complete series of Cowboy Bebop

*Not as big as a "priority" from the wishlist perspective, but still noted for listing sakes...

Then again, this has alway been my official [Christmas/birthday] list for years, basically:

Dollah dollah bills, ya'll!**
Gift card(s) to Gamestop/Barnes & Noble/Amazon**

**Twenty[-five] Bones or more, to be more accurate, I guess...

So yeah, it's either new console/handheld and/or [anime] Blu-Rays this year... (and it's usually either [anime] DVDs/Blu-Rays and/or manga volumes most of the time, which are usually bought through money and/or gift cards, anyway...)

Bah humbug I say! Go figures I worked in retail therefore it means I will get insane early or night shift (the store doesn't open late until Christmas), cold freezing weater and worse of all, I will be working on Boxing day!!!

OT- My wishlist is just getting The Lego Movie and Pacific Rim on DVD and if I'm lucky a new Ipod Nano (the battery life seen to be really low at my current Nano) and a added a pony, another Funko Pony figure preferable the one I wanted to get in the first place no offence to Spitfire.

Like most first world adults of moderate means if I truly desire something that is not exorbitant in price I simply buy it. This makes lists like this hard to compile without it devolving into a bunch of big ticket items that I would not expect anyone to buy for me.

I'm not sure if this is just my family or if it is a trend but we have dropped lists and a part of the Christmas experience is thinking up a gift that even the recipient doesn't know they want. It produces more misses but it is really special when you get it right. The search for something special while walking from shop to shop looking for inspiration and thinking about the person you hare going to give a present to are not something I would trade for the ease of a list and a check mark.

However in the (premature) spirit of this thread I will list the aforementioned big ticket items I would never expect to be given.

New (used) car or a kit to motorize a bicycle and a bicycle (my motorcycle is on it's last legs)
A real nice MIG welder
New midrange non-gaming laptop

And now for some Christmas music!

Damnit people, everyone here's missed the truly greatest Christmas song of all time!

Honestly, I don't have a clue what I want at this point. I've already got stacks of books, CDs, DVDs and games to go through.

The only thing that's probably guaranteed is series 3 of Sherlock, given that I already own the other two.

"Almost Here"
~80 days away.

OT: Aaaaanyway, I'm gonna go with everyone else and say money I prefer to research and buy things on my own. Atleast that's always the plan, but I keep blowing half of it on the steam sales so we'll see how that goes.
