CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!

I'm not even thinking about Christmas this year. I'm only excited at this point because my two month trip to South Africa is coming up soon. I'll be there all November and December helping with Great White Shark research. I'll be to busy enjoying that to think about Christmas. If anything, I'm not looking forward to Christmas, because that means it's almost time to go home. Last year I liked it because the boat I was working on had an awesome Christmas feast.

I guess if I have any type of wish, it would be for me to get back on a boat soon after coming home. I only get money when I'm on a boat.

Well, I suppose I'd like to be able to afford another set of flight tickets so I can return to the UK and see my family... But a week just isn't worth the money. I'll see them Chinese New Year.

But more into the spirit of Christmas;

Far Cry 4.
Shadow of Mordor.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

And a Dark Eldar Codex and the new models.

And Dark Heresy 2nd Edition. And a few board games to play with the family.

Right now, all I want is a decent Halloween night. Past that, I'll wait for the seasonal Steam sale and try as hard as I can not to buy games I know my rig can't handle. I'm running on an eight year-old dual-core and still managed to purchase the THIEF remake in full awareness that I wouldn't be able to run it decently, about a year back.

I call it pre-emptive purchasing. If I succumb to that, I might nab Shadow of Mordor once it goes on sale and then cross my fingers for the first of a few decent paychecks in months. I'm at the point where buffing up individual components won't cut it; I need a new rig entirely.

Past that, I've already got Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel pre-ordered, and nothing else really popped on my radar as of late. I'd say I'll be good asking for cash or apartment essentials. New frying pans would be nice.

I still can't decide between an Xbox One or a PS4. I'm terrible at making decisions. My laptop is dead too but I'll probably look at the January sales for something to replace it.

I do wish for a general price drop on PS3 games though.

Putting up stuff for the holidays before even Halloween has happened is generally not okay in my book. At this rate, come 2064, Christmas decorations will be going out in July.

O.T.: I don't actually have a Christmas wishlist. For two reasons:
1. Again, even Halloween and Thanksgiving haven't come yet, so it's way too early.
2. My family is Jewish, so even if I did already have a list, it wouldn't be a "Christmas" wishlist.

Besides, when the holiday season does get closer, I'll be more concerned about what I'll be getting for my friends and family than with what they might get me. It has gotten harder and harder to come up with things to get for my mother (that I haven't already gotten her) over the years...

I am really wanting Persona Q for the 3DS, and my parents are putting half the money for a Playstation 4, my brother is getting me a couple of games for the PS4 as well. I got my dad tickets to see the rugby world cup next year, as he really wanted to go, as well as renewing his membership for his rugby club, and I am taking my mother to go and see Handel's messiah, as well as whatever perfume strikes her fancy. My brother is undecided in what he wants, so I might just give him some money as he can be quite indecisive in what he wants. Yeah, we tend to go all out when it comes to presents.

I know right! it is weird the one thing I thought I would end up disliking when I lost my religion was Christmas but NOPE love it, so much that I more ore less just celebrate the last October, November, and December as the Scary, Fat and Christmas parts of Christmas.

All October long Thursday to Monday this question is likely to be asked "Who gets booze? Who get the Horror!" we find both and then who can play said media best and do our best to not sleep.

My family is boycotting Christmas this year, none of us can really afford what we want & it sucks trying to come up with something cheaper just because it's Christmas. We're all adults so no kids to worry about. We might go out to a nice dinner or maybe pool our money & buy a new fridge or something, but that's about it.
