The only Christmas thing I have watched every year during the holiday season consistently is South Park's Woodland Critter Christmas...

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is not only my favourite christmas movie, it's one of my all time favourite movies. Makes me laugh every time.

Die Hard, Jingle All the Way, Ed Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle.

Those are the three I absolutely HAVE to watch. Any others are just sort of filler.

Personally not a fan of watching the Home Alone's every Christmas - especially seeing as they seem to be used as both Christmas and non-Christmas films by TV channels, so it's not unheard of to have watched it multiple times throughout the year anyway...

This is going to sound odd, but this is a UK thing.

Zulu is often shown on television at that time, and it is one of my favorite films (almost a character study of the people in it and how they deal with the stress of an unwinnable battle, and a historical documentary looking into hipocracy and insanity of the army at that time).

For "proper" Christmas films, Die hard, Muppet's Christmas Carol, the Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol, and Earnest Saves Christmas are amazing (as stupid as the Earnest film is, it has one of the best portrayals of Santa in it).

Edit: Da na na na na, Nearly forgot Long Kiss Goodnight, Da na na na na, Just watched it last week.

I enjoy The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I frequently enjoy Christmas specials of shows like Family Guy or Futurama. As for more 'traditional' Christmas films... eh... A Muppets Christmas Carol is quite good? I guess?

Idk, my family doesn't really *do* Christmas much. I'm certainly not about to watch fucking Elf again.

I try to see a variety of Christmas films each year, but I do make sure that every year Nation Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Muppet Christmas Carol and the version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott. Usually try to make sure Scrooged with Bill Murray is in there, and the animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Oh, and Nightmare Before Christmas usually makes its way in there as well.

Now that I have kids, I'm also going to try to fit in the old Rankin/Bass stop motion movies of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, plus Frosty the Snowman, and A Charlie Brown Christmas (which I just picked up on DVD in a Peanuts Holiday collection).

I always make an effort to watch the stop motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie every year around this time. I don't know why, it just reminds me of my childhood and a much simpler/happier time.

Warmer times.

There aren't really any movies that I watch from beginning to ending during the Christmas season but I do try to watch Nightmare Before Christmas at least once between Halloween and Christmas. I haven't seen it yet this year but I think Book of Life was a great substitution...for Halloween anyway. I do end up watching most of the animated Grinch every year though so there's that.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned The Ref yet.

It's got one of my favorite quotes ever:

You know what I'm going to get you next Christmas, Mom? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it.
It also has the absolute best response to getting fired.
Lt. Huff-"I nailed you wife Bob."
Bob- "What?"
Lt. Huff- "It was after the town meeting last August, you were out of town on business. Three times Bob. She said you never went three times, Bob."
also watch the 1970 version of 'Scrooge', 'Christmas Vacation' and 'A Christmas Story', 'Bad(der) Santa' and the first two 'Die Hard' movies every year.

With the family, I love catching Blackadder's Christmas Carol(1988), though I reckon it's not necessarily a movie proper.

But on my own, by the end of December, provided we get substantial snow/a decent storm, I will watch The Thing(1982).
