This is one of the few games I am looking forward to next year especially after the newly announced pitch black multiplayer mode which puts combatants in a big dark arena and makes one of them a fast-moving, blade-wielding Riddick - the others are just grunts with guns and flashlights. What are ur opinions

Why remake a 4 year old game. Next up a remake of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas! Now with more gang violence! ;)

I'm certainly looking forward to it, I replayed Butchers Bay many times. Plus, it was one of the few first person "stealth" games that I could actually get through.

I'm pretty sure this thread got made a few days ago in the News Room. But yes, I think it will be interesting.

It's not just a remake, it's actually a sequel packaged with the remake.

I loved the original, a fantastic game all in all. That actually sounds like a really good idea for multiplayer though there would be some serious balance issues. Also, you kind of relied on the AI being more stupid than a real life adversary.

Still it worked in Splinter Cell.

It's cool that the Riddick series gets to live on. I'm not a fan, but it's interesting that a movie series is getting lived in in the form of video games

From what I heard its not just a remake, but a new campaign and the remake...which is kind of nice

Escape from Butcher Bay is on my to-play list because of how much good I've heard about it.
But if the sequel turns out to incorporate the good bits, maybe` I won't be needing to bother finding the original after all.
