Today just became much more awesome. Can't wait to see what sorts of crazy new stuff gets added... Civ 4 was one of the best strategy games I've played in a long time, because it allowed even the non-militaristic players (like myself) to be successful.

I mean seriously: in most strategy games, I like playing with a buddy against computer opponents... and I wind up being the piggy bank/tech researcher while my partner does the military shit. Civ 4 was the best thing since playing as the Dutch in Age Of Empires 3 for that style of gameplay.

Well, understandable. Not everyone enjoys the strategic-scale planning and city building. But for curiosity's sake, have you tried Civ IV on PC? If yes and you didn't like it, then I guess you're not that much into slow-paced RTSs. If not, then you've not seen the best the series can offer.

But I'm more than happy to hear this. I loved Civ3 and Civ4, and I can't wait to see how this will turn out. Hoping for the best (ie solid turn based, light-hearted strategy, with all the knick-knacks that make it great)
