This looks just as disgusting as CIV IV... I don't get the appeal of these games, when there exists Europa Universalis.

So far, representing units with multiple models doesn't seem like a good idea. It's hard to see what's going on. One model = one unit was good enough for me in Civ IV.
Speaking of which, the aforementioned is still the equivalent of e-crack for me, so really it's a win-win situation. If Civ V turns out to be bad I'll still be enjoying Civ IV years from now, probably until Civ VI.
And if V turns out to be good...
